General Hospital Spoilers: Cody’s Worst Nightmare Comes True – Mac Rejects Relationship

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that as Mac Scorpio (John J. York) has finally returned to Port Charles, it looks like fans will get some resolution where Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) story is concerned.

Of course, the storyline around Mac being Cody’s father was temporarily placed on hold because of the health issues actor John J. York was facing at the time. Now that he’s undergone treatment and is fully recovered, he’s back on set, and this arc can continue.

Still, in the land of soaps, there must be a little drama before a “happily ever after”, so when Mac finds out Cody is his son, will he reject him at first?

GH spoilers hint that all arrows point to the idea that Mac will be shocked to find out Cody is his son, but with his good heart, he’ll obviously welcome the man with open arms and be ready to forge some sort of relationship with him, right?

Especially as he’s never had a biological child of his own, yet was willing to raise his niece, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough), as well as his stepdaughters Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Georgie Jones (Lindze Lethermen) even when he was separated from their mother.

While Cody is on the cusp of revealing the truth to Mac, if someone gets to Scorpio before he can, this might cause drama between the two.

GH Spoilers – Mac Scorpio Is A Great Man, But Even “Great Men” Have Their Limits

GH spoilers suggest that Cody will tell Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) about his “secret” and there’s also a good chance that Tracy accidentally spills the beans to Mac before Cody has a chance to tell him.

This could rub Mac the wrong way for several reasons. Firstly, the fact that Tracy and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) know that he’s Cody’s father, and he doesn’t, will bother Mac.

As Cody went to major lengths to hide his true paternity, this will upset Scorpio (not to mention the reasoning behind why Cody lied). Plus, finding out about Cody being his son from anyone else but Cody, will also be an obstacle to get over.

Mac is a reasonable man, but will he have an issue with Cody once the truth comes out? There will likely be some roadblocks before they establish a bonafide relationship, right?

Will Mac initially reject Cody?

      I hope not. Cody already needs some help with his trauma. But I imagine it’s a plot point too hard for the writers to resist.

      Please don’t do that to Cody. I don’t think he can handle it. He has beat himself up over this for so long and hasn’t felt worthy of being his son. Let him for once be loved by someone who can really care and love him for who he is!

      The least the writers can do for us – since they have tortured the fans by dragging this one out for close to
      2 YEARS – is to allow Cody to tell Mac, let the chips fall where they may (we know there will be fallout).

      Then create a good crisis (we need something dramatic this show has been kinda of boring for so long) either a bombing at the PCPD or a car crash where Cody can be the hero and save Mac’s (his) family.
