Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond Announces Pregnancy News

“Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond recently announced some exciting news: she’s about to be a first-time grandmother! The Food Network star recently shared this past Sunday that her eldest daughter Alex Drummond and her husband are pregnant with their first child.

Alex, aged 26, hopped on Instagram to announce the news in a joint pregnancy post with her hubby Mauricio Scott. The post featured pictures of the couple holding sonogram images, with their dog who wore a bandana that said, “Big Brother”.

The caption they added to the post read, “We can’t wait to meet you, little one. Baby Scott joining the party this winter! Thank you Lord for this precious gift.”

Alex is Ree’s oldest child, and she shares four other children (Paige, Bryce, Jamar, and Todd) with hubby, Ladd Drummond. Of course, the Pioneer Woman herself commented on the Instagram post, stating, “Beyond happy for you two!! (And for the whole family!) Love you, Alex and Mauricio!”

“Pioneer Woman” – Ree Drummond Reacts On Her Blog

Drummond took the opportunity to reflect on the baby news, via her blog. She writes, “Oh my gosh. Alex is pregnant! My first baby is having her first baby. My child is going to have a child.”

She adds that the feeling is “… surreal, and I’m sure all of you grandparents can relate to the feeling of momentarily leaving your body after hearing upon hearing similar news.”

Drummond notes that Baby Scott is due around January 1, 2025. What a way to ring the new year in!

Alex and Mauricio were engaged in 2020 and got hitched at the Drummond ranch in May 2021.

Shortly after the two got married, they said they weren’t ready to have kids; however, they would end up adding to their family by welcoming George, their dog. Now the two have a baby on the way!
