British royal family news shares that Meghan Markle, wife of Clown Prince Harry, married into the monarchy in 2018. By 2020 the notorious couple had defected to America and become late night laughingstocks, in part due to the Duchess of Sussex’s bizarre clothing choices.

Or, as in the case of her Nigerian trip last month, she’s been called out for not wearing enough fabric. Meghan decided to show off 95% of her flesh in the very conservative African country, leading to the First Lady later dragging her odd decision.

It can’t be said that the Nigerians didn’t try to help out the 43% princess, as many handed her sarapes and drapes to hide her embarrassing body. Here are Meghan’s worst fashion sins according to popular opinion.

Meghan Markle wore a fit to the Invictus Games in 2023 consisting of a black tank top, shorts, and a humongous, oversized blazer. Just why.

As The List notes, “If you Google the term shorts suits you’ll find a plethora of results — but most of them hail back to the mid-2000s.”

Skinny jeans are another outdated Meghan staple. Maybe they were trendy in the 2010s but Meghan would be better off embracing mom jeans. At the Invictus Games in 2022, Meghan proudly wore some skinny jeans with stilettos and a jacket. Talk about old school.

Shoulder pads had their day in the in the ’80s, and in fall 2022 outsized clothing had a revival. That was two years ago but in 2024 Meghan showed up to a SXSW panel (she allegedly had to pay for the privilege) in a $2,000 silk fit by Giuliva Heritage.

The nude (!) pinstripe shirt and skirt hung like a gunny sack and was quickly forgotten.

Meghan’s choice of eyewear has also come in for some chiding. A good pair of classic black glasses never go out of style, but unfortunately Meghan can’t ditch the very untrendy aviator shades.

While the aviators were popular as recent as 2017, no one wants to be seen in them now. Except for Meghan. If she really wants to be fashionable, maybe Meghan should opt for “colored lenses, sport shields … small metal frames, chunky oversized sunglasses, ovals, and cat-eyes.” Like Gigi and Tay-Tay.

At the 2023 Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany, Meghan wore a black halter top and in Nigeria she wore a nude version. This is a wardrobe staple for the duchess, she even wore a Stella McCartney halter dress to her wedding reception. Problem is, halters went out of style in 2021.
