Blue Bloods spoilers reveal the final episodes of the popular CBS drama will air in Fall 2024. Last year CBS announced the end of the series, and confirmed that Season 14 would be the end of the Reagan Family on Friday nights. There has been talk of a Blue Bloods spinoff, however that project seems to be stalling. What’s going on with our favorite cop family? Keep reading for all the details!
Blue Bloods Season 14 – Returns
Blue Bloods Season 14 will premiere on CBS this Fall. CBS execs confirmed back in December 2023 that they had plans for a Blue Bloods spinoff.
However, there seems to be a lot of disagreements surrounding the premise of the spinoff. Obviously it wouldn’t be Blue Bloods without at least one member of the Reagan Family, right?
Well, we can confirm that the Blue Bloods spinoff WON’T follow fan fave Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg). According to new reports from Deadline, a Danny Reagan series was pitched at the network, however it appears to have sadly fallen through.
“We don’t have anything that’s going to be in development soon, but it’s a brand, a title and a show that is beloved,” CBS Studios president David Stapf told Deadline.
Blue Bloods Season 14 – Will Any Original Cast Members Return For Blue Bloods Spinoff
So far it’s not clear if CBS planned to show the spinoff on primetime TV, or stream it on their partner site Paramount +. At this point, that’s the least of Blue Bloods’ fans worries though.
The network doesn’t even seem to have a script or know who the characters will be on said spinoff, which means it will be years before it actually comes to fruition at CBS.
By the time the network does move forward, it’s possible that all of the regular cast members will have joined other TV shows and picked up new gigs at other networks.
