The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, July 17, 2024 is here! On today’s episode, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) told the police to take Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) away.

Li Finnegan Explains
B&B recap for Wednesday, July 17 reveal that Li talks to Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) about the two deaths.
Still standing in the morgue with dead bodies, Li tells Steffy that Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers) and Tom Starr’s (Clint Howard) deaths were no coincidence.
It is explained to Finn that this information about the poisoning only further implicates Sheila. Li and Steffy agree that Sheila needs to be stopped.
Finn wonders if an altercation with Sheila is the smartest move if she’s running around killing people. Steffy insists on confronting Sheila – I’m assuming it’s because she clearly didn’t learn her lesson during the double shooting storyline. However, at least Steffy isn’t going to confront Sheila alone. Steffy insists that Li and Finn come with her.
B&B Spoilers: Police Investigation
Over at Sheila and Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) apartment, they talk about Hollis. Sheila is warning Deacon not to let his mind run away with thoughts of murder. That’s when Baker announces his presence by saying, “Did someone say ‘murder’”?
Baker questions Deacon about the night of Tom’s death. Then, Baker explains that the case has now been opened due to two suspicious deaths. As Baker talks, Steffy, Li, and Finn show up.
This is when Sheila and Deacon find out that Hollis died from the same drug that was in Tom’s system. Deacon and Sheila seem shocked.
Steffy points the finger at Sheila. Then, Sheila warns Steffy that it’s a dangerous accusating she’s making. Steffy calls Sheila a dangerous animal… while wearing an animal-print outfit. I wonder if they did that intentionally…
Tom Starr’s Backpack
The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, July 17 revela that Steffy asks Baker how more people need to die before Sheila is arrested.

Deacon and Sheila claim the villain is innocent. Sheila says she is changed and in therapy. Sheila adds that she’s also in love, as if that means murder is impossible. Sheila explains that she cared for Tom and Hollis. Sheila suddenly remembers Tom’s backpack.
Sheila explains that Hollis told her about finding Tom’s backpack. Sheila adds that the murder weapon could be in that backpack. As Sheila talks about the backpack, Li has a weird look.
Sheila tells Baker that last time she saw Hollis, she advised him to get rid of the backpack. Baker informs Sheila that was the wrong thing to do.
Sheila should have called the police. Li says Sheila just wanted to get rid of the evidence. Sheila is confident that the answers are in that backpack.
Once again, Li looks weird. Even though Steffy thinks Sheila is lying, they all start searching the restaurant. They find no backpack.
Baker asks what Sheila did that night. Li and Steffy tell Baker to take Sheila in for official questioning. Finn agrees and tells Baker, “Take her away.” With that, Baker leads Sheila away. Then, Steffy embraces Finn.

Over at Forrester Creations, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) talks to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) about Tom and Hollis.
Brooke wonders if they were partying together. Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) asks how Deacon is dealing. Ridge thinks it’s quite ironic how Tom died right after saving Sheila’s life.
Hope wonders why Sheila would kill Tom and Hollis. Ridge reasons because Sheila is psychotic.
Hope mentions how Hollis’ overdose just doesn’t make much sense. Carter chimes in that it means Sheila must’ve had a hand in this. Brooke wonders why Sheila isn’t behind bars…

Li mentioned before the paternity test at Dollar Bill’s house that she was protecting Finn above all else; the letters Hollis held in Tom’s backpack will be the scavenger hunt for the remainder of July. There is so much misdirection going on though–this is how the soaps used to operate, weeks upon weeks of guessing. This is so much better than say, when Y&R built up to a huge Omega Sphere lawsuit, let it remain vacant for weeks, then resolved between Daniel and Lily in Chancellor Park on some random out of the blue day.
