Fans have recently learned that Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber from 90 Day Fiancé have broken up. While this is sad news enough, the pair is also stuck in a coronavirus pandemic lockdown together in Ecuador.

As noted by Screenrant, Evelin and Corey have had a roller coaster of a ride during their relationship with a number of disagreements and several cheating scandals. They originally met in Ecuador when Corey was on vacation there and spotted Evelin surfing at the beach.

Corey introduced himself and this was the start of a brief courtship that was outlined during season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. As their relationship grew, Corey decided to give up everything back home and relocate to Ecuador. He found his fiancé’s town to be a total shock to his system as only few houses there enjoy electricity and running water. The town itself had only one dirt road.

While their relationship made for great television, it seems it just didn’t work out. Evelin and Corey have suffered through a number of problems, including the death of Corey’s father and several cheating scandals. While the couple didn’t marry on the TLC show, it was later revealed by various documents that they had wed and Corey’s social media accounts had a “married” status.

COVID-19 pandemic traps Evelin and Corey in Ecuador

Villegas and Rathgeber have recently revealed that they have ended their tumultuous relationship. However, regrettably, they find themselves trapped in lockdown together in Ecuador, due to the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic.

Villegas hit Instagram Stories to let her followers know they had broken up but were being forced to quarantine together. The news was released on the @90dayfiancénews Instagram account, as Evelin’s profile is set to private. She shared that while they have separated and their relationship is over, she and Corey are still best friends and always will be.

As 90 Day Fiancé fans know, many relationships tend to fail following the TLC show. It seems the latest victims are Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber. Let’s hope they both find love elsewhere and are soon released from quarantine together!
