General Hospital Spoilers: Is Adam J. Harrington Leaving, Agent John Cates The Center Of A Massive Whodunit?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Port Charles, New York is exploding with summertime action as August Sweeps rolls on. Can you remember when you’ve seen so much drama unfold on so many levels, GH fans?

Several storylines are ending with a bang, leading to major buzz about the fate of one returned character. Keep reading to find out who could be in the line for an epic whodunit soap style!

General Hospital Spoilers – Jagger Cates Made A Nuisance of Himself

Michael Easton (Hamilton Finn) is off the canvas and this is why we think that Adam J. Harrington (John “Jagger” Cates) could be next. In May these actors were part of a GH photoshoot back in May, but both are missing from recent promos.

General Hospital Spoilers: Is Adam J. Harrington Leaving, Agent John Cates The Center Of A Massive Whodunit?

It makes sense that Easton is not being used (although he could return at some point as Finn) but it’s fishy that Cates isn’t front and center in promotional materials.

Additionally, the ABC.com cast bio page does not include Adam J. Harrington which is a sign that he may have been let go. This is speculation and no one has made any official announcement as to Cates’ fate.

GH spoilers – John Cates Is FBI

Cates is also being written as more obsessive of late. Sure, he was always after his longtime foe Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benad), but in recent days that’s all he’s been thinking about. Tell the truth, who do you think will win in a battle, the Teflon Don or Jagger?

General Hospital Spoilers – Is Cates Going To Be A Whodunit?

We hate to say this, but Cates is an expendable character. He returned to town after a younger heyday and isn’t tied to anyone on the canvas, despite being chem tested with several lovely PC women.

There was also some confusion in the beginning, with the show recasting surfer looking dude Harrington in a role that Latin Antonio Sabato Jr. played. The casting should have just been a blip, but Sabato had his say in the matter, stoking the flames.

At this point, his association with Ava Jerome (Maura West) makes Cates look an awful lot like a marked man.

GH Spoilers – Is Cates Leaving PC?

Tell us what you think GH fans. Is Agent Cates looking like a goner? Has he crossed too many people and not drunk enough Corinthos Coffee to make him a welcome addition to PC?

Be sure to catch up on everything happening with GH right now. Come back here often for General Hospital spoilers, news, and updates.

I liked him at first but now he is just down right dirty! And the writers are stupid anyway otherwise why would he still be there when his job was to find the person behind that org which he did Valentine, so now he can leave!

I really hope you’re right about Jagger leaving. I can’t stand him. First of all he’s the worst re-cast in the history of soaps. No offense to Harrington, but the casting people did him no favors when they gave him the role. They had to know long time viewers would never accept him. I hope they do a better job finding a new Lulu!

The other issue is that the whole revenge storyline has no teeth!!! Karen hadn’t been his wife FOR YEARS when she actually died and had been engaged twice to other men. Not to mention, she ultimately was hit by a car. Her actual death had nothing to do with Sonny. The idea that he just has to have revenge after more than 30 years is just absurd. If he’s so broken up about her death why isn’t he going after the driver that actually hit her?

Yes, the actor and the character need a quick ticket out of PC!!!

Love Adam Harrington! Seems writers could have given him a better storyline. Of course it is the dysfunctional Carly/Sonny/Jason show. Will probably stop watching when Harrington is gone.
