It’s Johnny “pearly whites” Depp to you, thankyouverymuch. The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star went from being ridiculed for his poor dental health to being admired for his sparkly new set of chompers.

Where is Johnny? He’s on vacation at the Bahamas and he’s having a swell time. In a new video shared on Instagram, the star was seen having the best fun with some fans and workers at a small Bahamian bar. You want a smile? No problem, the star was all smiles as he posed for pictures with fans and the pub’s bartender.

Fans, of course, didn’t fail to notice the new set of gnashers and were pleasantly surprised. One gushed, “Def got his teeth done! Looks so good.”

Another Instagram user added: “Am I right to say that his teeth are looking brighter than ever before?”

A third person said: “Is it me or do his teeth look more straight?”

Indeed they did. And can I say that those specs fit him perfectly?

Last year, the film debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, but what caught the attention of fans was what they deemed “rotted teeth.” It wasn’t his clothing, which would be weird for any normal person but is now normal for Depp, or his suave, or even the movie, it was his teeth.

One fan wrote: “Johnny Depp’s teeth are literally ROTTING.”

Another agreed, saying: “Johnny Depp is a famous actor and his teeth are not healthy.”

Another commenter shared that Depp’s poor dental condition has motivated them to take better care of their own. They said: “Very inspired to brush my teeth, floss and use a tongue scraper every time I see a pic of Johnny Depp at Cannes.”

At the time, celebrity dentist Michael Apa waded in on the conversation, labeling Depp’s condition a result of many years of wear and tear.

He said: “He has wear, which has been a cumulative effect over a lifetime. Wear like that – sometimes we see it in 30-year-olds in really aggressive cases, and sometimes we see it in cases like Depp.”
