Catherine, Princess Of Wales Shares Excellent News
Kate posted a three-minute video to social media in which she is shown with her family in Norfolk, England. She let the world know that “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.”
The video steered away from the traditional royal reserve and instead showcased the Wales family larking about “with lighting, filters, background music, and creative editing.” According to Vogue, the video has been seen 27 million times and counting.

Fans noted that the family is dressed in blue and last year Elizabeth Holmes, author of “HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style” remarked on Kate’s relationship with the shade: “I think it’s worth considering Catherine’s commitment to blue. For the first official pictures of her as a royal bride-to-be, she wore a vivid blue wrap dress to match the famous sapphire and diamond engagement ring that had belonged to Princess Diana. She has since worn every shade of blue, from a soft and pale (one might even call it Cinderella blue) to a deep navy.”

Kate appears in two dresses in the video, a blue denim shirtdress and a white-and-blue Veronica Beard Castella dress.
According to Vogue, the latter dress is cotton “earthy enough to feasibly wear outdoors with three kids all day, and elevated enough to project a sense of occasion.” The outlet notes that the design is a departure from her usual look: “Sloane Ranger formal—lots of tweeds, LK Bennett heels, and preppy dress coats … here, the look is unstructured and unfussy … and there’s a free-spirit energy.”
