Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently came under fire for wading into American politics with foreign titles. Even though Prince Harry can’t vote in the upcoming US election, he still urged Americans to use the power of their votes to ignite the kind of change they want to see.

Prince Harry will join the First Lady, the Governor of New York, and the Governor of Kentucky at the Clinton Global Initiative 2024, starting September 23.

Prince Harry is also scheduled to speak at the event, alongside Jill Biden. This is coming after Harry and Meghan issued a statement encouraging Americans to vote.

Speaking on the upcoming Presidential election in a statement on their Archewell website, they said: “In honor of National Voter Registration Day, The Archewell Foundation team came together for a meaningful volunteer activity to support and empower our communities. Using Vote Forward’s impactful letter-writing tool, our team wrote personalised letters encouraging unregistered voters to take a crucial step: registering to vote”.

They continued: “Voting is not just a right; it’s a fundamental way to influence the fate of our communities. At The Archewell Foundation, we recognize that civic engagement, no matter one’s political party, is at the heart of a more just and equitable world. By participating in initiatives like this, we aim to amplify the message that every voice matters.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are yet to endorse any political party this term, even though they openly endorsed Joe Biden in the last one.
