Mark Cuban’s ‘Shark Tank’ Replacement Officially Announced

Mark Cuban’s ‘Shark Tank’ Replacement Officially AnnouncedMark Cuban, a beloved and long-time investor on Shark Tank, recently revealed that he would be stepping away from the show after Season 16.

Cuban’s exit left fans speculating about who would take his place among the panel of successful entrepreneurs. While the production team initially kept quiet, they have now confirmed the next shark who will join the cast: Daniel Lubetzky.

Daniel Lubetzky Joins as a New Shark

Cuban’s departure implies that Season 16 will be his last participation on the show. The panel will still include recognizable figures such as Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary, while Cuban will make one farewell appearance. However, Daniel Lubetzky will be introduced as a new investor, gradually assuming Cuban’s role.

Interestingly, Lubetzky will become the first new regular shark in over a decade, marking a significant change for the show.

While Cuban is still on for one more season, viewers will see a rotation of sharks as Lubetzky finds his rhythm on the show, preparing for a more prominent role in the next season.

In a statement via Variety, Lubetzky shared his excitement: “It’s an honor to be part of a production that continues to educate, entertain, and unite Americans behind the spirit of building together. I am looking forward to partnering with entrepreneurs from all walks of life as they come to Shark Tank for their chance to realize the American dream.”

Who Is Daniel Lubetzky?

Though some may not be familiar with Lubetzky’s name, he is no stranger to Shark Tank. He made several guest appearances between Seasons 11 and 15, during which he invested in businesses like Yellow Leaf Hammocks, FitFighter, Tandm Surf, Toast-It, and HummViewer. Now, Lubetzky is set to become a permanent fixture on the show.

Mexican-American billionaire Lubetzky is most renowned for having started Kind LLC, a business that offers nutritious food options. His adventure started when he was a little child and moved from Mexico to the United States.

Later, he studied abroad in Israel and France while attending Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Stanford Law School is where he received his legal degree, demonstrating his wide range of educational experiences.

The establishment of Lubetzky’s first company, PeaceWorks, was made possible by the discovery of a sun-dried tomato product in 1994, which officially launched his commercial career.

Among the snack companies in the United States with the quickest growth rate by 2015 was Kind Snacks, which he launched in 2003. The sale of Kind Snacks to Mars eventually solidified Lubetzky’s status as a business magnate.

In addition to his work in the snack industry, Lubetzky has co-founded Maiyet, a luxury fashion brand that supports economic development in emerging countries, and Equilibra, an initiative launched in 2018 to support businesses run by entrepreneurs offering consumer packaged goods.
