Prince Harry made a solo trip to California to attend Kevin Costner’s One805Live! after Meghan Markle pulled out at the last minute due to illness.

Apart from allegedly not getting enough cheers, the Prince suffered a humiliating blow when one of the charity event’s famous attendees didn’t recognize him, like at all. Musician Richard Marx was oblivious to Harry’s identity as he waited for him by the side of the stage.

Marx was already walking past the Duke when someone else pointed him out to him.

In what must be another blow to his ego, Marx’s wife, Daisy Fuentes, mistakenly tagged Prince William’s Instagram account after uploading a photo of Prince Harry at the event.

Apart from Costner’s annual charity event, which Harry attended with Meghan Markle last year, Harry has made several appearances at other charities as well, including The HALO Trust and the Diana award.

These two charities have a bearing to his late mother’s legacy, with The HALO Trust gaining international prominence when Princess Diana walked through an Angolan minefield in 1997.

Supporting charities close to his mother’s heart and continuing on with her legacy has always been a passion for Harry.

In a podcast interview, he said, “I could never fill her shoes, especially in this particular space because of what she did and what she stood for and how vocal she was about this issue.”

The Duke’s schedule for the coming few days is a bit hectic, with a spokesperson confirming, “During UN General Assembly High-level Week and Climate Week in New York City, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, will be in town to advance a number of his patronages and philanthropic initiatives.”
