Katherine Kelly Lang’s original character, Brooke Logan Forrester, is still a part of The Bold and the Beautiful. Thirty years passed and Lang remains a constant on the daytime soap. Her character is still popular with fans who love her complex and challenging character. The Emmy-nominated actress has become a traditional beauty and heroine, on and off the screen. Lang took some time out of her schedule to reflect on her career and what’s next in her life.
The 58-year-old actress revealed she’s dedicated to The Bold and the Beautiful. She has no intention of leaving the show behind anytime soon. She made the declaration in an interview with Soap Opera Digest, as quoted by Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
“I don’t want to leave,” Lang said. “It’s my home, it’s my family. I’ve spent more than half my life there, so it would be weird without the show. I don’t know how I’d survive without it!”
The Bold and the Beautiful News – Katherine Lang – Being A Soap Star Is Stressful
Lang admits that being a soap star can be stressful at times. Taking on an emotional and dialogue-heavy role is not always easy. The actress constantly finds herself on her toes. That includes memorizing up to 90 pages of script in one day. Lang relies on her strong memory skills to get the job done. She sinks in one page at a time. She uses her brain like a muscle that she needs to train in order to keep it at peak performance.
Lang was born into Hollywood royalty in 1961. Her father, Keith Wegeman, was known as the original “Jolly Green Giant” and her mother, Judith Lang, was a film and television star. Her grandfather, Charles Lang, worked for Paramount Studios and was one of the best cinematographers during the Old Hollywood era.
B&B News – Katherine Lang’s First Job
Lang’s first role was in the 1979 film Skatetown, U.S.A., opposite Patrick Swayze. This led to numerous other roles in Happy Days, Magnum P.I., and The Fall Guy. Lang also made appearances in most of the music videos created by The Beach Boys. She finally got her big break as Brooke Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful in 1987.

no..want her gone
dang..be best news ever if she said she was leaving the show..and she is only nominated..it is Jacqueline who won The Most Outstanding Lead Actress Award..Jacqueline should be front and center with lead stories since she is most loved and most popular character on B&B..people tired of seeing same ol whure doing the same thing over and over for what 30 + years..still the same..boring brook
Get over it – this is her job – if you don’t like her don’t watch
I would rather the haters gone than put someone out of a job – get over it
What was the point of this article? Brooke is Stephanie now. I don’t know why Steffy isn’t getting a larger storyline. The Ridge storyline is tried and tired. I’m taking a break until its over.
