Coronation Street Spoilers – Gemma Struggles Alone

Viewers have seen how much pressure has been building up in Gemma as she has had to take care of her babies. However, she has tried to work through things on her own even though the times that she not slept, and her anxiety has gotten to her. This did cause her to be picked on by some mean mothers in her baby group since she was so overwhelmed and would fall asleep because of her never being able to sleep out of worry that something will happen to her child.

This stress continued to weigh on her, resulting in her having nightmares that showed her putting her child, Aled, into the washing machine. This scared her, but she still did not let anyone in on what was going on. However, soon Bernie decided to step in as she saw the young mother struggling with taking care of her kids and realized that she might be battling mental health issues as well.

Coronation Street Spoilers- Gemma Receives Help

In the upcoming episodes, she will meet up with Dr. Gaddas, who will diagnosis Gemma with Postnatal depression. This will cause her to break down as she did not want to believe that she suffered from depression, but Chesney will comfort her.

Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove) wanting to help, will suggest that she should cover Chesney’s job in order to give them some time together to process everything. Now Gemma can receive the support and care that she needs in order to deal with her depression head-on, and this way, she will not be as overwhelmed as she was before.
