Ryan Reynolds is reportedly looking forward to buying Justin Baldoni out of ‘It Ends With Us’ if it means that his beloved Blake Lively gets to reprise her role for the sequel of the hit movie.

According to a source speaking to Life & Style, Reynolds is ready and prepared to put his money where his mouth is when it comes to securing Lively’s ‘It Ends With Us’ future.

The source said: “Ryan is willing to offer millions to Blake’s director and costar, Justin Baldoni, in an attempt to buy out his stake in the franchise so Blake can continue her role without having to work with Baldoni, with whom she clashed.”

This is coming after rumors surfaced that Lively and Baldoni clashed on the set of the movie. Apart from this, the film also suffered at the hands of critics and fans, despite bringing in a box office figure of $335 million.

While Blake admittedly played the lead role of Lily impeccably, fans felt that the marketing approach for the movie did nothing to address the hefty subject it explored.

Lively was either promoting her brands or downplaying any question that touched on the domestic violence the movie depicted.

Following the backlash, Lively chose to keep off her social media channels, even refraining from sharing anything online for a month since the movie’s Aug. 9 release.

However, she returned with a post promoting her hair care line Blake Brown Beauty, captioning a picture of herself in a brown coat with the words, “Our @blakebrownbeauty All-In-wONEder potion does it all… except provide you a shirt… or a hairbrush… I don’t know what those are.”

Reynolds supported the post with a like, further emphasizing the couple’s mindset to always present a united front no matter the weather.

Speaking of united front, the reason Reynolds is fighting to cut Baldoni off is to keep Lively in the spotlight. “This is the biggest film Blake has ever made. Ryan wants to make sure she isn’t replaced in the sequel!” the source added.
