To kick of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas 2024, ‘Twas The Date Before Christmas is a new, original rom-com, starring Amy Groening and Robert Buckley.

According to TV Insider, ‘Twas The Date Before Christmas tells the story of Jessie (Groening), who wants to stop her family from canceling the Chamberlain Family Christmas Olympics. To do so, she tells the family she is bringing a date to the long-standing family tradition.

Meanwhile, she meets Bryan (Buckley) on a dating app and he agrees to spend Christmas with her and her family. As the pair engage in eccentric activities like searching for the Christmas tree star, a snowball fight and a gift-wrapping contest, Jessie and Bryan start to develop real feelings for each other.

However, her family begins to catch on to her secret, and Bryan begins to suspect that she may be hiding the real reason for her unusual holiday date request. While the celebrations carry on, Jessie must work to keep all her stories straight and save her date with Bryan.
