Despite a petition and her fans best efforts, ABC/Disney refused to hire her back. When Kelly could have just slacked off an gave a mediocre performance, she still put her all into Sam McCall, something she has done for the past 21 years.

Kelly knows that her fans are accustomed to her putting her all into a performance and she certainly wasn’t going to slack off just because she had been fired, her fans deserved better.

Kelly fans are just has heartbroken watching as they know what the outcome will be. Sam has been a huge part of this show for two decades and it is very hard for her fans to let go.

General Hospital spoilers – Kelly Monaco Is Leaving Standing Tall

Kelly is certainly going to go out on a high note regardless of the behind the scene drama. If this is Sam’s last stand, Kelly is going to give it everything it deserves.

Of course, Sam certainly pulled no punches when she went off on her younger sisters, which both of them deserved. Sam has been there for them both time and again, they could have put their differences aside for her.

It truly has to be as hard for Kelly to say goodbye to Sam as it is for her fans. These scenes are bound to get even more emotional as the days go by. No matter how Sam dies, no one can say that Kelly didn’t stick with it and give it her all.

Still, as the song goes, “Its so hard to say goodbye to yesterday” and Sam is just a few hours from being yesterday. Props to Kelly for giving Sam the strong ending she deserves.
