In the second week of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas 2024, a new rom-com is set to premiere, starring Katie Findlay and Jordan Fisher. According to TV Insider, the movie tells the story of Alice and Max reunited every year during the holidays.

The couple works for a Chicago catering company for their Christmas parties. Meanwhile, this always means catching up with their careers, while serving up holiday goodies for more than five years.

While Alice considers Max as her rival, she does enjoy reuniting with him each year. However, both Alice and Max have bigger dreams than serving up canapés or carrying drinks on trays.

Meanwhile, they both share personal stories they wouldn’t share with anyone else. While the news is sometimes hopeful, sometimes it is disheartening, and Alice finds that Max supports her no matter how close she is to her dreams.

However, this annual profit center means they are seeing some of the same customers. They also notice that many of the people have moved on with their lives. Can Alice and Max do the same?

Can they eventually overcome obstacles to move forward? They have great chemistry, but the timing isn’t right and it seems their relationship is not meant to be.

Fast-forward five years and this is their last time working for the Chicago catering company as it is about to close. Now, the couple needs to face some hard truths. Can they take a chance and reveal their true feelings?

Other uncredited cast members include Olly Atkins, Zenia Marshall (Supernatural), and Katrina Reynolds (The Christmas Waltz).

The new, original rom-com, The 5-Year Christmas Party is set to premiere on Sunday, October 27, at 8 pm ET on Hallmark Channel. Moreover, the movie will stream on Peacock up to 72 hours after the premiere.
