Exciting news as Amazon Prime Video announces a new cop show from Dick Wolf titled On Call. The show is the first series starring Lori Loughlin since working in When Calls the Heart.

This week, Variety revealed that Dick Wolf is offering a new half-hour police drama, On Call. Meanwhile, the cast includes Troian Bellisario, Lori Loughlin, Brandon Larracuente, Eriq La Salle and Rich Ting.
Bellisario plays Traci Harmon and Loughlin plays Lieutenant Bishop. Larracuente plays rookie Alex Diaz, Ting plays Sergeant Koyama and La Salle is in the role of Sergeant Lasman.
Meanwhile, the new cop show is described as an “adrenalized and visceral police drama,” following the story of a rookie and a veteran officer as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California.
The series incorporates a mix of bodycam, dashboard cameras and cellphone footage to give the show a “cinema verité” effect. Meanwhile, the innovative cop show explores the morality of protecting and serving a community.
About the characters in the series
Bellisario’s character, Traci Harmon is a “hard-charging, but protective veteran officer. She is tasked with training the rookie, Alex Dias, who is coming into his role with rose-colored glasses, and is surprised by the reality of his job.
Moreover, besides playing the role of Sergeant Lasman, La Salle directs the series, and executive produces alongside Dick Wolf.

She then moved over to Great American Family and starred in the When Calls the Heart spinoff, When Hope Calls Christmas

After she served her sentence after the College Admissions Scandal, she went to Great American Family. Her foray back into acting started with the two-episode When Hope Calls Christmas. Loughlin went on to make several movies for the network and it looked like she would stay with the network.
However, this year the actress got involved in different roles, including a guest spot in Curb Your Enthusiasm, where she portrayed herself in a fun parody. Since then, GAF announced the return of When Hope Calls and surprisingly, she was not listed in the cast.
She may no longer be with either Hallmark or Great American family, but she has a sweet spot in the Amazon Prime Video series, On Call from Thursday, January 9, 2025.
