Xander shows up for the wedding, although he was very concerned that Sarah was going to be late! Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) is ready and waiting, and all that’s missing is the bride! Days of Our Lives viewers will recall from recent episodes that Xander had woken with a nightmare, out of fear that Sarah would find out about the baby switch and would never forgive him; let alone that it had been her and Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) baby that had died, not Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) and Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf).

Xander talked to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) about his nightmare and his worries, and Victor agreed if Sarah were to ever find out they had switched babies and that he had been lying all this time that her love for him would quickly turn to hate, and it would be compounded by the fact that all this she had gone to with Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton’s (Josephine and Rosalind May) with the bone marrow transplant was for Kristen’s baby, not hers – although she would acknowledge Brady, also.

A baby was saved, it just wasn’t her baby! Then Victor had given him a marriage blessing, and a family heirloom – a coin that symbolized a marriage would last forever. Xander can’t help but be nervous and worried, however, because Sarah is late for her own wedding, and he knows she would have left a note if she had been called to work! However, the possibility of her being called to Salem University Hospital is remote, since they know that today is her wedding day!

Xander is on the brink of having everything he’s ever wanted – the job, the wife, and a baby he loves – it can’t all go wrong now! Then, she finally gets there! She takes her place and Justin read the marriage ceremony all the way up to when Sarah is supposed to say “I do” after Xander does, and she says “I won’t!” Xander is blindsided – he is trying to envision every possible scenario that could have made her hesitate or change her mind, but he doesn’t mention the baby switch and hopes she hasn’t found out – but she has! She tears into Xander like only Sarah can, for lying to her for all these months about Mickey!

He tries to reason with her, telling her this hurdle can only make them stronger as a couple, and Brady and Kristen will be overjoyed at getting their baby back, and that they can work things out and have their own baby together – but she screams that she never wants to see him again, and grabs the baby so she can go upstairs for a final goodbye in private! Justin stands in shock, as the doorbell rings and Eric and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) arrive so Eric can say goodbye to Mickey, but not until tearing into Xander himself!
