Royalty fans are to be spoiled by Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas movie, Private Princess Christmas. According to TV Insider, Private Princess Christmas is a classic Royal Christmas movie, starring Ali Skovbye, Derek Klena, and Erica Durance. Vi, better known as Princess Violet of Wingravia (Skovbye), adores the privileges of being royal, but none of the responsibilities.

Due to this, the Queen (Erica Durance) is concerned about her daughter’s lack of responsibility and decorum, as Vi refuses to take any sort of Initiative to take on her duties. Moreover, she refuses to follow royal protocols.

Meanwhile, the Queen knows that other royals do, and sees only one way for the princess to learn discipline. After being disappointed by Vi one time too many, The Queen decides to test her mettle once and for all and issues an ultimatum. This is the only way she knows how to get through to Princess Violet and teach her how to be disciplined and how to lead.

Vi attends a boot camp where she and her fellow cadets are put through rigorous training under the stiff and uncompromising supervision of Captain Ryan Douglas (Derek Klena). However, the princess and her captain find they have more in common than not. She may be a privileged royal, and he may be a disciplined military man, but at their core, they care about the same things.

Captain Ryan then teaches Vi that through hard work and discipline, she can find her confidence. Now, the princess must find out if she has the right stuff to lead.
