The Talk’s Final Episode Date Announced As CBS Transitions The Time Slot For Beyond The GatesSince April of this year, CBS The Talk viewers have been gearing up for the show’s last episode. In early 2025, the new daytime drama, Beyond the Gates, is set to debut in the Talk’s timeslot (2 p.m. ET) on the network. CBS recently released The Talk’s finale date, and what fans expect during its last week on the air.

The Talk’s Final Episode: The End Is Near

After 15 seasons, The Talk, CBS’s answer to ABC’s The View, will air its final show on Friday, December 20th.

While Beyond the Gates isn’t set to premiere until Monday, February 24, there’s no word yet on what will happen in the weeks between December 20, 2024, and February 24, 2025, in that CBS timeslot.

For now, fans should expect that The Talk’s cohosts and producers will go “all out” during the final five episodes leading up to the series final of the show.

Viewers should also expect some incredible guests to join hosts Amanda Kloots, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Natalie Morales, Sheryl Underwood, and Jerry O’Connell.

In addition, CBS is set to gift over $2.5 million in giveaways to “the show’s loyal audience” during December, leading up to The Talk’s last episode – according to a press release from the network.

The Talk’s Final Episode: The Show Has A Lot To Be Proud Of

The Talk debuted on October 18, 2010, and has had 15 incredible seasons. During this time, over 2,900 shows have aired, and the daytime series has racked up over 70 awards and nominations.

In addition, The Talk has welcomed over 10,800 guests and over 250,000 audience members and gifted more than $103 million in giveaways!

According to Deadline, there’s no confirmation on whether past co-hosts will return for the final week of The Talk to reflect and say goodbye.

During the show’s tenure, 16 permanent/full-time hosts have come in and out, some including Julie Chen Moonves, Sarah Gilbert, Holly Robinson Peete, Aisha Tyler, and Sharon Osbourne.

    I am very sad that the Talk is ending. The hosts always bring a spot of joy to my afternoon, and over the years have become like friends. I am not at all interested in a new soap opera.
