General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the name of Lulu Spencer’s former love, Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) has come up recently following her emergence from a four year coma. Who was Dustin and why does he matter to Lulu’s story?

General Hospital Spoilers – Who Was Dustin Phillips On GH?

Dustin was a laid-back schoolteacher who made some extra money as a rideshare driver. After he met Lulu he fell in love with the blonde firecracker but sadly he died after he proposed to her.

Dustin appeared on GH from 2019 to 2020. As Lulu tries to pick up the pieces of her shattered life, Dustin Phillips is one of the people she is mourning. In fact, one of the last things she remmbered about the explosion that put her in a coma was that Dustin died as a result of the blast.

Dustin and Lulu met via an online dating site. Lulu pretended to be a reporter so she could find the guy who was misusing the site to rob potential dates.

Dustin was disappointed to learn that Lulu wasn’t an actual date candidate, but Lulu was pleased that he wasn’t the wanted man.

Later she accidently spilled a drink on him and he joined her and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) during which time he discovered that Lulu was getting a divorce. Maxie saw some potential there and hired Dustin to drive the besties to a wine tasting event. The rest is history.

When Lulu took Dustin to see her boat, The Haunted Star, they used a stateroom to become intimate.

Dustin also impressed Lulu when he defended Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) from sleazy record producer Linc (Dan Buran), and when he saved the lives of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell), and Sasha Reeves (Sofia Mattsson).

GH Spoilers – Dustin  Phillips And Lulu Spencer Weren’t Meant to Be

Dustin and Lulu were together when her ex-husband Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) came back from a WSB mission. Lulu was immediately back in her old feelings and it strained her relationship with Dustin.

Dustin proposed to Lulu after getting Dante’s blessing. Then, as they were dining at the Floating Rib restaurant, a bomb went off killing several people including Dustin. The blast left Lulu in a coma for four years, one in which she came out of last week.
