Days Of Our Lives James Read Out As Clyde Weston, Villain Goner After Getting Shot

James ReadDays of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note that the speculations as to whether or not Catharina Meleounis Greene’s (Susan Elena Matus) shot took out Clyde Weston during the Wednesday, December 11 episode, is over.

Soap Opera Digest (SOD) has officially confirmed that the dastardly villain, played by the incredible James Read, has exited the canvas.

Days spoilers for Wednesday, December 11 reveal that Clyde was just about to tell Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss), and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) what happened to Abigail DiMera (last played by Marci Miller), when Catharina stormed in and shot Weston in the chest.

Everyone sat there, in shock, as the daytime drama’s Wednesday episode closed.

Fans rushed to social media with questions as to whether Clyde is really gone, and according to SOD’s report, he is, for now.

The actor first entered the role in 2014 as the vile Weston, joining storylines along with his kids, Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).

Weston left storylines in 2018, only to return in 2021. It did seem for a while there that Clyde was on the road to redemption; however, when it turned out he killed Abby DiMera, things went downhill for the character and the heroes of Salem, from there.

In recent years, Clyde has become public enemy number one in the little town, holding people hostage, causing others to head to prison, and even organizing people to get beat up while in the slammer!

DOOL Spoilers – Never Say Never

Does any character ever really die in the land of soaps? Especially Salem? That remains to be seen; however, for now, it looks like Clyde Weston and James Read will not be seen on screen, anytime soon.

This is certain to further thicken the plot around where Abigail’s body is concerned, where it is located, and if she has really passed.

      I was a fanof James Reed from his North and South series. I noticed his alias on the card Gabby found in the desk was George Hazzard- James’ name on the North and South series!
