Mike Manning was raised in Colorado and Florida. Once he became interested in acting he participated in productions of Oliver! and The Secret Garden in Colorado.

Manning’s daytime debut came in 2020 when he was cast as Charlie Dale on Days of Our Lives. Charlie was Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) psycho son and met a foul end.

Manning appears on the award-winning digital series The Bay where he plays Caleb, the husband of Eric Nelson’s Daniel Garrett. A ninth season is on its way.

Manning was on Season 23 of MTV’s reality show, The Real World: Washington D.C. and he lobbied Congress on behalf of the Human Rights campaign. In 2014, he appeared in the Disney Channel’s Cloud 9. That same year he executive produced the Showtime documentary Kidnapping for Christ.

n 2018 he participated in Lost in America, a documentary examining youth homelessness.
His credits include this Is Us, Hawaii Five-0, TNT’s Major Crimes, and MTV’s Teen Wolf.

On Beyond the Gates, Manning’s character Bradley “Smitty” Smith is a former political reporter married to Congressman Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon).

Smitty now works at home, raising the couple’s teenagers Tyrell and Samantha. Smitty wants to return to writing, but is hesitant to tell Martin who likes things the way they are.
