B&B fans know that not that long ago, Ridge spent “quality time” with Shauna down in Las Vegas. Things moved fast for Ridge and Shauna … maybe too fast.

Those who have been paying attention to events lately know that Ridge hasn’t exactly divorced his wife, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) yet. Although Ridge apparently has had divorce papers filled out for some time, and those papers are in the possession of Ridge’s attorney, Ridge hasn’t seen fit to push the legal paperwork through. Some believe that’s because Ridge is having second thoughts about divorcing Brooke. Although that might be the case, Brooke’s recent kiss with Ridge’s hated enemy, Bill Spencer Jr. (Don Diamont) might be the impetus for Ridge to make a final decision on the matter.

Be that as it may, B&B viewers know that Ridge went down to Las Vegas, Nevada to try and release the pent up anger he’s felt toward Brooke. While there, everyone knows Ridge spent his time with Shauna Fulton. Because everything happened so quickly, some B&B fans feel that Shauna may be nothing more than a rebound relationship for Ridge.

B&B Spoilers – Shauna Fulton Thinks It Might Be A Rebound

B&B viewers aren’t the only ones who think Ridge might be on the rebound. Shauna isn’t stupid. She knows that the way Ridge flew into Las Vegas, moved super-fast into Shauna’s space, declaring his feelings for her (and to be fair, she declaring her love for him), spending tons of time together … but strangely not really committing to anything, all might be signs that Ridge doesn’t quite see her as long-term material. At least, Ridge may not see her that way yet.

It wasn’t just the swiftness of Ridge’s whirlwind moves that may give Shauna pause. There’s also the fact that Ridge doesn’t want to talk about Brooke or the fact that his relationship with Brooke isn’t a hundred percent over. While there are certain romances that begin when one or the other partner is still married, (just like Shauna and Ridge at present) usually that partner will talk about how he or she is planning his or her divorce. There’s usually some kind of indication that the new relationship is going to move forward. Yet, Ridge hasn’t made any such statements to Shauna. Ridge seems totally content to be in the moment, and “take things as they come.” (That’s code for, “I’m not making any life-changing decisions yet, and I am not committing to you, Shauna.”)

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers – Shauna Fulton Hits The Brakes

B&B viewers know that after Ridge left Las Vegas he ended up calling Shauna. However, Shauna appeared to break things off with Ridge, even though she told him she was in love with him. Shauna let Ridge know in no uncertain terms that she wasn’t looking to get hurt. Shauna may have been wise in making the decision to tell Ridge goodbye, at least for now.

That’s because Shauna knows that right now, Ridge is needy. After all the drama with Brooke, Ridge may be aching inside because he used to have all his emotional needs met by her. Now that things are rocky, and perhaps almost over, Ridge might just be looking for an emotional security blanket. Shauna doesn’t need that! Who does?

Besides that, Shauna knows that Ridge probably isn’t processing his feelings. Instead of facing how he feels about Brooke head-on, Ridge might be circumventing those feelings by focusing on a new somebody … somebody like Shauna. Shauna knows that’s just not healthy.

B&B fans, therefore, might see Ridge work to get back together with Shauna, but then again they may not. The bottom line for the moment is that unless Shauna is pregnant, or Ridge rushed through a drunken marriage in Las Vegas, Ridge needs to deal with what’s right in front of him.

B&B viewers know that means Ridge has got to figure out precisely where his relationship with Brooke is headed.
