‘The Way Home’ Season 3: Show Runners Comment On The Mysterious Baby & Pond Storyline

The Hallmark Channel’s The Way Home loves leaving its viewers in suspense, and they scored big in Season 3. For fans that have watched the first episode of the new season, titled, ‘You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet’, they saw a mystery unfold at the very beginning of the show, which likely means that this could be a question mark that lingers through the entire new season and beyond.

A person placed an unknown baby near the pond, and viewers have been buzzing about it all since, on social media.

With that said, The Way Home’s showrunners recently spoke to Variety and provided some insight into the mystery.

“The Way Home”, Season 3 – The Show Is Being Tricky

Variety spoke to both Heather Conkie and Alex Clarke about a number of things regarding The Way Home and its third season.

They asked both Conkie and Clarke about the baby being left by the pond and if this would be a season-long mystery or something that would continue in the series.

Conkie tells Variety, “We can confidently say that it is kind of a driver, but we often put something at the beginning that will drive us into another season. We’re tricky that way.”

Still, Clarke also responded to Variety by noting that fans will know more about the baby by the end of Season 3.

It looks like The Way Home viewers will have to hang on to find out more about the mysterious baby and who placed it by the pond, and fans may get spoon-fed more and more information as the season progresses.

The show got off to an explosive start, and by the sounds of it, things will only get better as each episode airs. Speaking of, The Way Home, Season 3, Episode 2, titled, ‘The Way We Were’, airs on Friday, January 10 at 9 p.m. on Hallmark.
