The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers – Sally Spectra’s Almost Fired

B&B fans who have been watching for a while know that a lot of B&B characters such as Katie Logan (Heather Tom) have talked an awful lot about the fact that Sally was about to be fired recently. That is, Sally was about to be fired until everyone learned that she was dying of some horrible, wasting disease. Sally’s illness was terminal … and so wouldn’t it be cruel to fire her when she’s on the verge of death? Why not let Sally go gentle into that good night?

It might be crass to suggest it, but mightn’t those who have the power to fire Sally actually prefer it if she died? After all, then they wouldn’t have to compensate Sally …no unpleasant scenes at work … no one having to escort Sally from the premises. By just allowing Sally to go off and die, her bosses might also avoid any legal issues that could arise from firing her.

Now that everyone knows Sally was faking it all, her bosses are sure to carry through on the firing that was going to take place anyway. Now, however, many believe that Sally actually deserves it. Once the truth comes out, even if some might argue that there are varying degrees of lying … and not all deserve being fired over … Sally’s bosses will probably think her level of lying was just too severe to allow her to continue working with them.

To avoid any legal issues or problems, however, an investigation might be started to double-check the facts surrounding Sally’s case. Sally will probably get fired, but that firing might not take place right away. In the meantime, Sally might try to plead her case, or she might try to save whatever dignity she feels she has left and just go ahead and resign.

The truth is, Sally may not have been thinking about the long-term consequences of her deception … if she got caught.
