DOOL spoilers confirm that Barash’s new character is Jake, an auto mechanic. Fans finally saw his first scene when Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) went to apply for a job. Jake was underneath a car doing a repair. When he pulled himself out and had a snarky reply, Ben was stunned. The man he was looking at was the spitting image of his former boss — who is supposed to be dead — Stefan.

We have seen Gabi react with shock when she saw Stefan’s reflection in her storefront window. Next week, she will have another encounter, but this time it will be up close and personal. She ends up fainting because she is in so much shock.

However, she will soon learn that “Stefan” thinks he is Jake. She will become convinced that he is actually Stefan and they were married.

It’s possible that Gabi could convince Jake to pretend he is Stefan. She will use him in order to convince everyone that Stefan is really alive. Now, how she’s going to explain Stefan’s heart and being brain-dead is a big mystery. Maybe she will pull Jake off as Stefan’s twin or claim that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) was somehow involved.

In any case, Gabi will do anything to get what she wants and there is nothing too immoral in her book. Right now, she wants her job back and she wants Stefan — even if it is just a lookalike. Having a pretend Stefan is better than not having him at all. We will have to keep watching to see what Gabi does next and how this storyline could develop over the next few weeks.
