The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) never anticipated having to top himself with bad news. However, revealing Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) on his wedding day to Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was just eclipsed by another bombshell threatening his treasured marriage.

Steffy believes she can’t take it. Hearing about Finn’s daughter was nothing she ever expected. She can, but she needs time to digest all this soap, with a pained process having just been ignited.

First, she learns that the arguably greatest villain on two daytime dramas, B&B and The Young and the Restless, is her mother-in-law. Now, Steffy has to accept that the woman who put her in a cage and wanted to leave her to be crushed to death is her husband’s first child.

Backtracking mentally is what Steffy will be forced to do next. A mind-numbing connection has been revealed because Sheila is Finn’s biological mother, and Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) is his daughter.

Sheila is more than Steffy’s mother-in-law, she’s Luna’s grandmother. The chilling accompanying music is scored, with resulting reaction shots from Wood and Novlan.

Cutting back to Sheila’s conversation at Il Giardino with Finn’s adoptive aunt, Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park), is instructive. There stood Finn’s original mother and the woman he fathered a child with, meaning that Poppy would have quite a reaction shot of her own.

Poppy had no idea that her supportive and cordial conversation with Sheila was planting storyline seeds. Naturally, Sheila is going to be fiercely protective of her blood, like Poppy.

Along with the above, Sheila and Poppy will be allied against Steffy. Sheila backed off Finn but now has a new angle to be in touch with him indirectly.

Poppy has no friends. But Sheila should prove to be one that she values. Together, this mother and grandmother tandem should create a different dimensional approach to family issues in Finn and Steffy’s world.

Redrawing Alliances In Los Angeles

Sheila and Poppy are aligned against Steffy. But they are also two people who will be together on Li Finnegan’s (Naomi Matsuda) hit list.

Viewers can already hear the commiseration, with Sheila understanding Poppy’s position. She’s already taken many of the same hits as Poppy in recent years, but Li will quickly see that Luna’s grandmother and mother duo are cut from the same warped cloth.

Meanwhile, Finn will have to manage his wife’s natural reaction to all that’s been dropped on her in this storyline. But the great game-changer will come when Luna’s living location is learned.

Another reason to keep watching is whether that comes slow-drip, meaning character by character, or with everyone learning almost instantaneously.
