General Hospital spoilers say that if there’s one thing that a lot of fans can agree on, it’s the fact that Sam McCall’s absence has left a huge gap on the show. If you want to know what we’re talking about, keep reading below.
Sam’s Absence Leaves This Huge Gap
A lot of fans have pointed out that the Drew and Willow storyline if Sam were still alive would be totally different and honestly probably much more interesting.
Not only that, Sam would have had a place in the Gio storyline and could have used her skills as a PI to investigate his past. Not only that, but she could have also taken down both Drew and Ric and Ava.
Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about this matter.
Some have even commented with, “It was so short sighted, and just the fact that her children are all over the place with their various dads is irresponsible writing.”
Sam’s Presence Is Missing In Port Charles
“Sam was just kinda there for the last couple of years, and Kelly, bless her heart, had been going through the motions for just as long.”
Another critic of the soap wrote, “I think Jordan is in a good position to take on some of Sam’s more adventurous storylines, but yeah, when a long-standing character is abruptly gone, it leaves a vacuum in the show’s dynamic.”
And then there was this comment as well: “I miss her and at the same time I don’t, because when they put her with Dante she just became stagnant, boring. But with Jason back maybe she could have became interesting again. Guess we will never know.”

I wonder if Kelly Monaco negotiated for higher pay and instead she was fired….I think that because she was a regular staple to the daytime drama; miss her.
I don’t miss her at all. Glad she is gone. Don’t think she could have been an effective person in any of the scenarios mentioned in the article. Wish her well but don’t want her back.
Kelly was good, she cannot help with the whacked writers do, If Kelly came back she would probably not go back to Dante, because after all he really does not look out for Scout and Her Insane father is going to cause problems for poor Scout.
Bring Kelly back and away from Dante, let her save her daughter from the corrupt Drew! Maybe she could even say the hell with you Dante why did you not look after Scout! Then get her a much better Love interest.
