General Hospital Comings and Goings: Kelly Thiebaud Returns To GH – As Britt Westbourne?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate a familiar face is set to return to the land of Port Charles. Off the cusp of some sad news, that Jonathan Jackson was slated to exit his Lucky Spencer role the week of June 9-13, fans are now learning that Kelly Thiebaud will be returning to the ABC soap. More on this story, below.
Kelly Thiebaud’s Shocking Return
According to Deadline, GH viewers will once again see Thiebaud on canvas starting in July; however, they’ve been hush-hush on discussing whether or not she’ll be reprising her Dr. Britt Westbourne character – a role she played on and off since 2012.
Fans may recall that The Britch passed away at the hands of The Hook serial killer, a.k.a. Heather Webber (Alley Mills).
Her death was as final as it can get, but at the end of the day, this is the land of daytime drama, where anything is possible.
If the writers can bring back Jake Webber (Hudson West), then they can craft a story to bring Britt back, too! Thiebaud commented on her return to GH by telling Deadline, “It is good to be home.”
Thiebaud’s History With GH
The actress made her debut on GH in 2012 as Dr. Westbourne and would end up leaving in 2015, but returning once again from 2017 to 2018, and from 2020 to her final exit in 2023.

She started off as a massive villainess but ended up winning the hearts of GH viewers as Britt went on a road to redemption.
It also didn’t hurt that she had a fiery romance with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who unfortunately exited in 2021 when he was presumed dead, only to return in 2024 … a year after Britt had passed away.
During her time with the soap, she earned two Daytime Emmy nods, back-to-back in 2022 and 2023, in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category, winning the award in 2022.

I’m happy that Kelly T is returning to GH.. Back from the dead yet! If they can bring Kelly (Brit) back from the dead, then they can surely bring Kelly Monoco (Sam) back from the dead…

Bring her back as Britt! It can happen. And bring her back to Jason! Everyone deserves a partner to love and share their lives with.. And in this case it’s Jason and Britt..

Happy that Kelly is coming back. Lucky going away is not good, When Johnathan first came back it was suppose to be for the long run. What is wrong with these writers????

One of the best decisions they’ve made in a while! Best match for Jason. They need to bring back Kathy Goti as her mother. Those 2 were the most entertaining combo on the show & delivered much needed humor whenever it was needed. Do the show a favor & bring back Gigi too! The show needs more colorful actors not those that are just phoning it in for the paycheck.
I have missed Kelly on GH. She is a great actress and was doing a great job until her untimely death. When she comes back to needs to be with Jason to continue building a relationship those two go great together.
I’m happy that Kelly is returning. I liked her and I really think her heart was in the right place. She just had some minor mistakes but don’t we all?
Whether Kelly returns as Britt or another character and if another character please don’t allow it to be a recast for Sam McCall. I’d much rather for Sam to say in soap heaven. Don’t even care for the idea of a Britt return to be for a romantic interest for Jason as I did not see the chemistry previously and am sure there won’t be any in a return. Like the Britt character, but just not as a pairing for Jason.
