General Hospital Spoilers: Britt Westbourne Is Back? Will Liesl Obrecht Return Too?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Deadline recently broke the news that Kelly Thiebaud would be returning to the ABC soap, and fans should expect to see her back on canvas this July.
While the show remains quiet about whether or not Dr. Britt Westbourne will return from the dead; fans can’t help but speculate.
After all, her name was dropped during the Friday, June 6 episode, when Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) mentioned his arrival into Port Charles was flying into the good doctor while she was in the Metro Court pool! So, is The Britch making a comeback, and if so, does that mean her mom, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), is returning, too?
Britt Westbourne, Alive & Well?
Britt passed away a hero in 2023, when she protected a young Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) from The Hook serial killer, a.k.a. Heather Webber (Alley Mills). Britt ended up meeting her demise, and there was no one more upset about this than her mother, Liesl.
Who could blame Obrecht? There are no words to describe a parent who outlives both their children, and the poor woman not only lost her daughter, but her son, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), as well.
Liesl was a wreck after Britt passed away for a very long time. While she did have a love story with Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner), after the two broke up, the very last storyline Liesl was involved in was being the miraculous bone marrow donor to her new grandniece, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).
If Britt Returns, Could Liesl Come Back, Too?
If GH writers can bring back Jake Webber (Hudson West) from the dead, crafting an arc to bring Britt back too would be a snap!
Still, as Liesl was so heartbroken after her daughter’s passing, there’s no way they are bringing Britt back without having her mom return for some sort of reunion, right?

I really would not mind if they both came back. I thought Albreck was funny and interesting
Bring back Goti. She was a hoot. Wonderful actor & you couldn’t beat her comedic timing. The show needs some fun & Brit & her mother always delivered it along with strong emotional performances when necessary. This would be a winning combo to uplift the show from constant doldrums.
How does spoiled, immature Brooklyn think Britt is the key to proving Lulu isn’t a good mother? BRITT STOLE LULU’S BABY!! Brooklyn needs to stop pouting and blaming everyone else and move on with trying to have a relationship with her son. She lied, the truth came out, now grow up. You can’t go back and change anything thats happened, so stop thinking about revenge and start concentrating on how to fix the damage that has been done. AND, take some responsibility for your part in it. Lulu may have exposed the truth (inadvertently), but Brooklyn, Lois and Gloria are as much, or more to blame. If there were no lies and no secrets, Lulu wouldnt have had any truth to tell in the 1st place!!
