What Happened To Caroline On The Bold and the Beautiful?

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that fans are wondering what happened to Caroline on The Bold and the Beautiful, perhaps wishing for a come back from the dead for the hapless heroine?

Linsey Godfrey played the part of Caroline Spencer on the CBS sudser and the last we saw she went away with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) only to never return to L.A. What happened to the blond beauty? Here’s what we know.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers – Caroline Spencer’s timeline on the CBS sudser

Caroline was the daughter of media heavyweight Karen Spencer (Joanna Johnson). She is the niece of Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and she was named after her aunt, Caroline Spencer Forrester (also Joanna Johnson).

Caroline debuted in 2012 when Karen Spencer popped back into L.A. with her daughter Caroline. The funny thing is, no one knew about the girl before then! Well, let’s walk that back a bit—viewers were seeing her for the first time but apparently her onscreen family knew all about her existence.

Later, Crystal Chappell appeared as Karen’s partner and Caroline’s second mother. This plot marked the show’s first lesbian storyline.

In 2014 Caroline crossed over to B&B’s sister soap The Young and the Restless. In 2016 Godfrey was placed on recurring status.

Then, in mid-2017, Godfrey filled in some of the blanks about the character’s status in an interview with Soap Opera Digest. She said that she had heard nothing from the show following her final appearance in October of 2016.

Later that month, Godfrey announced that she was back taping and fans saw her from July to September 2017 and again in March 2018.

Four months later, it was announced that Godfrey was now appearing on NBC’s Days of Our Lives.

On the show, Caroline had an off-again, on-again relationship with Thomas that resulted in the birth of their son, Douglas Forrester (Henry Douglas Samiri).

At this time Douglas is still on the canvas, while Thomas is MIA.

Before this, the little family went abroad, but only two came back! Off-camera Caroline died due to complications from a blood clot, news that Thomas sadly filled the family in on in early 2019. Will Caroline ever return to B&B? The soapy answer is, maybe?
