The Young And The Restless Spoilers: French Mystery, Who Wants Cane Ashby Dead?

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Aristotle Dumas is Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). The tycoon has also informed Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) that someone plans to kill him by the end of the week. We know that the character will survive any attempt, but who is responsible?

Cane Ashby’s Deception

Cane invited a lot of power players from Genoa City to his chateau in Nice. However, everyone was shocked when Dumas turned out to be Cane!

Then, in a private conversation with Chance, the tycoon claimed that someone was going to try to kill him by the end of the week. That was the reason why Chance was invited to solve the case before the murder happens.

That’s a pretty tall order. Is that why all these people were invited, are they all potential suspects? Cane seems to want Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) back as well as win Chancellor, but that’s for another day.

Victor Newman’s Secrets

My biggest suspect is Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). After all, Victor claimed to know who Dumas really was before the reveal.

The patriarch is pretty open with his wife, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). However, Victor’s plan for the chateau is still hidden. Victor also rejected Cane’s offer to buy Chancellor, and swore to protect his gift to Nikki.

Holden Novak’s Connection

Victor was also watching Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) very carefully as he argued with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Victor might have only noticed because of his own secret deal with Audra.

However, the camera made sure to zoom in on Victor watching Holden and Audra from afar.

Then, a preview clip for the week of June 30 shows Cane meeting with Holden. Cane asks if their arrangement is still under wraps.

Holden says that nobody suspects anything. Holden might be playing Cane. Perhaps all this bickering with Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) over the firing is just an act.

Lily Winters’ Claws

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that another possibility is Lily. Fans are seeing flashbacks from the past that show Lily’s arguments with Cane.

If Cane starts targeting the people she cares about, Lily’s claws could come out. I could actually see Lily trying to kill Cane in a fit of rage, but how could the tycoon possibly know this in advance?

Adam Newman’s Race

There is also Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who races to France to give an unreachable Victor important information. Perhaps the information ends up making Adam ballistic and he ends up going after Cane?
