Hallmark’s The Way Home: Get Ready for Season 4’s Big Twists & Time Jumps!

Hallmark's The Way Home: Get Ready for Season 4's Big Twists & Time Jumps! The Way Home spoilers and updates reveal we now know some of what’s coming up in Season Four. Even though the favorite Hallmark Channel mystery isn’t set to premiere again until 2026, we can give you an idea of what’s ahead.

One Mystery Will Be Solved

One mystery from The Way Home has been uncovered: We now know the time period the time-traveling family drama will explore next in Season 4.

When the series concluded in March, Elliot Augustine (Evan Williams), Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh), and Alice Dhwan (Sadie LaFlamme-Snow) made a significant discovery regarding his mother.

She referenced a T.S. Eliot poem in a letter to her son;Elliot also discovered that line engraved on a clock hidden within the wall of his house.

The twist was that wall was built before the poem was ever created and prompted Alice to recall a young woman she encountered in 1974, who was likely Elliot’s mother.

As Season 3 wrapped up, the trio speculated that his mother — who also wrote “I jump for love” in her letter — was a time-traveler who entered the pond, leaving baby Elliot behind.

This Reveal Has Massive Implications For Season Four

After the Season 3 finale, co-showrunner Alexandra Clarke shared with TVLine that the reveal has significant consequences for the next season… like sending Kat to the lively 1920s?

When Season 4 begins, the plot will take Kat back to 1925, where a mystery from last season will unfold, as announced by star and executive producer Chyler Leigh. This is what she said during a Hallmark panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday.

The pond transports the characters to where they need to be. and right now, they are seeking answers about Elliot’s mother. So, could Kat be pursuing a clue in 1925-could that earlier mystery be related to the clock in the wall?

Sadly, we will have to wait some time for answers since The Way Home is not expected to return until 2026.

Here’s Where Season Three Left Off

The show concluded in the Season Three Finale with Alice being somewhat correct about Casey Goodwin (Vaughan Murrae).

Earlier in the season, it was speculated that they were a time-traveler from the future, and given the ring on her necklace, they might even be her own child traveling back in time.

In this episode, Alice had every reason to be wary. After discovering a burning phone and a chess piece in the Lingermore attic, Max Goodwin (Dale Whibley) said that there was a squatter in their house.

Alice connected everything back to Casey- “It’s a good theory, but there’s still no solid evidence that Casey was the squatter at Lingermore,” Kat said; “Except that I was,” Casey interjected.
