Actor Logan Lerman and Molly Gordon play the roles of Iris and Isaac in the romantic comedy, Oh Hi! It originally aired at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and dropped stateside on July 25. Well, it isn’t all rumpy-pumpy and fun for Lerman who explained that he felt forgotten and felt trapped during filming. Read on for more details.
Forgotten By The Cast & Crew
The movie, which was born from ideas during the COVID pandemic, was designed for filming without too much movement. Well, the synopsis showed that what started out as a sweet interlude became something of a horror story when Isaac ended up handcuffed to a bed.

In the movie, Logan Lerman acted as a guy who really wasn’t into more than just hanging out and enjoying a relationship with side benefits. However, Molly Gordon’s character decided it was time to make him get serious. So, she tied him to the bed. Which was apparently comfortable and to his liking.
However, there was a downside, as he was forgotten, while at the same time, giving Molly a bit of a power trip.
Trapped & Left Alone By Everyone?
Ahead of the weekend, Parade interviewed the two actors, and it turned out that Oh Hi! didn’t mean just being handcuffed to a bed. But, Lerman explained that when the cast and crew went for breaks, they left him attached to it. He told the outlet:
I always got abandoned. People forgot about me. Five different people had keys, and nobody unlocked me. It’d be, ‘Alright. Cut. Let’s do the next setup’ or ‘Go to lunch,’ and I’d just be hanging there.
As Iris, Gordon could have saved him. However, she just joked about it, saying, “I felt so powerful. I was like, ‘I can save him.’ My hero complex really came through on set.”
Talk about getting into a part! Fortunately, while it might have been a break for the others, Isaac’s real-life character didn’t mind too much. At least it wasn’t a bed of nails!
Not Too Much Work
Filming in bed might sound like fun, but it could get a bit boring, one assumes when it goes on for most of the movie. Throw in being abandoned and trapped while others go off for meal or some refreshment, and it could be mind-numbing.
However, it didn’t seem to worry Logan Lerman too much. He also said in the interview: “It was a unique experience being naked, tied to a bed for 80% of filming. I loved it. It was comfortable. It was a nice bed. Good sheets. I liked the handcuffs. Those were nice.”
