Is Bryton James Leaving The Young And The Restless?

Is The Young and the Restless losing a fan fave to their new CBS sister soap Beyond The Gates?  When the network announced their new daytime soap focusing on prominent Black families, there were a lot of rumors about popular actors abandoning their roles for the groundbreaking new show.

Former Bold and Beautiful actress Karla Mosley took to Instagram and shared this week’s Beyond The Gates promo. 

Karla’s character Dani was bringing the drama, as always, in the video clip.  But, it is the next scene at the country club that nearly broke the internet.  

Did Bryton James Join A New Soap

The Young and the Restless fans were shocked when Bryton James marched in and was greeted by Anita.  Vernon watched on as the Beyond The Gates’ fan fave called out, “Devon, Welcome To Fairmont Crests.”

Word on the internet is Karla Mosley accidentally revealed what was supposed to be a big surprise for The Young and the Restless and Beyond The Gates fans. 

But, the crossover cat is out of the bag now.  We know that Bryton James didn’t book a new role on BTG, he is still appearing as his Y&R character Devon Hamilton.  

Will Devon Get More Action In Fairmont Crest

Devon Hamilton hasn’t had a whole lot of action on Young and the Restless these days.  Is it possible that the writers are testing him out in Fairmont Crest and considering moving him over to Beyond The Gates full time?  It wouldn’t be the first time! 

Courtney Hope started off on The Bold and the Beautiful as Sally Spectra, and now Sally has been on Young and the Restless for over three years and has no intention of moving back to Los Angeles.
