Prince Harry is failing in his role, according to a royal expert. That’s because his mother Princess Diana always wanted the Duke of Sussex to support her brother Prince William, who is going to be the next king of England.

Per the latest reports, Princess Diana’s former biographer Andrew Morton says that she always wanted Harry to support William, especially as she believed that he was going to be very lonely as king.

In a new interview with People magazine, Morton even put it this way, “We all remember the days when Harry and William were joshing with one another, and it all seemed set for their relationship and the future — that Harry, as Diana always used to say, would be William’s wingman. It’s a great loss for the monarchy.”

He continued, “Diana always used to say she had two boys for a reason — the younger would be there to support the older in the lonely task as future king.”

“There is no doubt Diana would have tried to act as a peacemaker between them. If she had been around, they would have worked things out in a different way.”

What’s Next For Prince William and Prince Harry?

But seeing how Prince William doesn’t even want to talk to Prince Harry, let alone be in the same room as him, it’s going to be hard for the two of them to fix things between them.

However, it’s also been said that King Charles is not doing very well and that Prince William might be king sooner before later.

Morton said, “King Charles really isn’t doing well. It wouldn’t be surprising if William and Harry reconnected a bit more over this. This could be the thing that pushes it to happen.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space for more.
