Coronation Street spoilers and updates for the week of August 25 tease Aadi Alahan’s (Adam Hussain) traumatic exit, and Asha Alahan’s (Tanisha Gorey) panic attack. Also, Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) cooks up a secret romance plot with Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) and more!
Aadi’s Traumatic Exit
Aadi’s departure is about to become dramatic due to a car accident in the upcoming scenes. To keep Aadi close, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) decides to assist Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) in reuniting Aadi with Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney).
However, as Aadi and Amy choose to remain friends, Aadi is determined to begin a new chapter in India; he shares a heartfelt hug with Dev, while Asha runs off in tears.
The following day, Asha grapples with the reality of her brother moving so far away. But when she is called to the scene of a car accident and realizes it involves Aadi’s car, what has occurred?
Asha’s Panic Attack
Asha is heartbroken, but is Aadi safe-will he truly start a new life, or will Asha and Dev be left grieving his loss? Before Aadi’s final goodbye, Asha experiences a panic attack, recalling the stress and trauma from her recent ambulance duty. T
hrough flashbacks, we witness how Asha’s day went, which included one death, an injured elderly woman, and a racist incident against her.
In the present, Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell) approaches Asha to provide support as a fellow twin, encouraging her to return to the party.
Aadi notices that Asha is not acting like herself, but when she starts to share her feelings, Dev shows up, causing Asha to withdraw.
Asha Records A Voice Message For Aadi
Aadi remains worried and offers to stay if she needs him, but Asha insists she is merely tired. Asha records a voice message for Aadi, expressing how much she will miss him and pleading with him not to leave, as she feels she won’t manage without him.
While Asha thinks about sending the voice message, she starts to cry-Asha is devastated as she yells at Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) for arguing with another customer at the Bistro.
Her colleague Sienna cautions Asha about her actions, stating that if it occurs again, she will need to report her. Asha attempts to open up to Dev but struggles, leading her to get drunk and be saved by Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).
Asha Opens Up To Lisa
Asha talks to Lisa about the woman she attempted to help, who verbally assaulted her and was aggressive. Lisa urges Asha to inform her manager about the situation, but doing so seems to be very stressful for Asha.
The following day, however, Asha calls in sick, and when Dev hints that she’s not working hard enough, she responds with anger.
Sienna finds Asha at the Rovers, and Asha admits that she wasn’t truthful. But will she seek the assistance she so obviously needs?
Abi’s Secret Romance Plot
Abi faces a major choice regarding her partner Carl while Carl continues to mislead troubled Brody; Carl is surprised when Abi proposes they begin a new life in Germany.
Abi confides in Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) that she never intended to fall for Carl and that she doesn’t want to hurt her husband Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell). Before heading off to join Kev and the kids in Mallorca, Abi reassures Carl that she won’t be intimate with Kevin.
Tracy tries to provoke her by saying she kissed Carl at the hotel, and later, she makes her intentions clear to Carl, expressing her desire to sleep with him.
With her phone recording, Tracy knocks on his hotel room door and suggests they spend the afternoon together in bed-how will Carl respond, and is Abi truly going to leave Kevin?
Theo Manipulates Todd
Additionally, Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) compels Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) to adhere to his rules. Theo becomes irritated when Gemma discloses that Todd will attend her birthday drinks party in honor of Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), along with Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).
Returning home, Todd finds Theo preparing a curry, but when Todd mentions he plans to go to the pub, Theo manipulates him into staying because he is upset about his children.
Meanwhile, with Gary Windass (Mikey North) remaining silent about his assault on Noah Hedley (Richard Winsor), Theo’s taken aback when he encounters Noah sporting a black eye.
Theo Forces Todd To Choose
Theo expresses gratitude to Gary, Billy, and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) for their help, stating that nothing can be done regarding Noah without risking access to the children.
Todd and Billy later encounter Noah and Theo’s son, Miles Silverton (Lewis William Magee), distributing leaflets, and Billy attempts to talk to Miles, cautioning him that he is being manipulated.
Miles surprises Billy by appearing at Summer Spellman’s (Harriet Bibby) birthday party, while Theo surprises Todd by declaring that he doesn’t want him to see Billy anymore.
This forces Todd to make a choice between them, and Theo’s actions are becoming increasingly controlling. How much worse will his behavior become?
Dev Catches Brody And Dylan Taking Drinks
Dev catches Brody and Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) taking drinks at the pub and kicks them out, while Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is confused about the situation. Dev explains to Tim that Brody brought drugs to Aadi’s party and is now trying to ruin Aadi’s farewell party.
Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) and Tim inform Brody that social services are temporarily placing Joanie Michaelis (Savanna Pennington) with her aunt. As Sally and Tim talk about how to help Brody, Carl manages to get his job back at the garage.
Carl Defends Brody
Carl then sees two guys threatening Brody and demanding money for a stolen car. Carl intervenes, and later he discovers that Ollie’s (Raphael Akuwudike) car MOT certificate belongs to Fiona Morley (Sara Poyzer), and Ollie is facing dangerous driving charges because of faulty brakes.
Carl tells Brody they will skip the middlemen and handle the stealing themselves. They’re continuing to maneuver in dangerous territory. What could possibly go wrong?
Jenny’s Suspicions
Finally, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) is wary of Christina Boyd’s (Amy Robbins) intentions. Jenny believes George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) is too naive with women he meets online.
While talking to Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger), they are shocked when Christina shows up looking for George.
Christina discloses that her con-artist partner Dom Norwood (Dominic Rickhards) has passed away, and she is only there to discuss the funeral arrangements with George.
However, Jenny is sure that Christina has ulterior motives, and she storms into the Undertakers to announce that Dom is not dead-as Jenny opens the coffin, what will she discover?
