Tristan Rogers Slated To Make Young And The Restless Appearance – Scenes Filmed Prior To Passing

The Young and the Restless just announced that the late soap opera legend, Tristan Rogers, will make an appearance on the daytime drama this week. Rogers reprised the role of Colin Atkinson and shot scenes prior to his passing. More details on this, below.

Tristan Rogers’ Final Appearance On Y&R – Airdate

Rogers will be a part of the Tuesday, August 26 episode, which will feature Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), who fills in the gaps on what he was up to during his six years away from Genoa City. Fans may recall Colin was Cane’s father.

The CBS soap announced Rogers’ appearance on all their social media channels, uploading a video from Colin’s onscreen leading lady, Jess Walton, who plays Jill Abbott.

Walton states, “Tristan Rogers was a respected member of the soap opera community, and he was a beloved member of the Young and the Restless family.

I had the pleasure of being his scene partner for many years. I adored working with him.” A classic clip from one of Colin and Jill’s old scenes was then played.

The caption on the post read, “On behalf of the entire Y&R family, Jess Walton pays tribute to her long-time scene partner, Tristan Rogers, who makes his final television appearance on tomorrow’s episode of The Young and the Restless.”

It goes on to say, “As we revisit one of their most memorable scenes — an emotional moment between Jill and Colin from 2014— we are reminded of the lasting impact Tristan brought to our show, both on and off screen. He will forever be missed.”

Tristan Rogers’ GC Legacy

Both Y&R and General Hospital fans are still reeling from the news of Rogers passing from cancer, which occurred Friday, August 15. The actor was 79.

Rogers is known for his legendary GH role as superspy-turned-lawyer, Robert Scorpio. With that said, he was also adored as the Y&R’s Colin Atkinson, a character he played from 2010-2012, as well as 2014-2017, and was last seen in 2019.
