Daytime Soap Stars Pay Tribute To The Bold and The Beautiful Fred Willard After He Passes Away

CBS The Bold and the Beautiful star Fred Williard who played John Forrester, also known as Eric’s brother on the daytime soap, has recently passed away. He passed away at the age of 86 years old due to natural causes, according to reports. Fred was also known for his role as Jerry Hubbard, which was the sidekick to Barth Gimble, which was played by Martin Mull.
This was on the Norman Lear sitcom that went by the name of Fernwood Tonight. Fernwood Tonight was a spinoff of Mary Hartman. He also appeared on the ABC series of Modern Family as Frank Dunphy and on Everybody Loves Raymond, where he played a character named Hank MacDougall.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Fred Willard’s Time On B&B
He joined the daytime soap, Bold and the Beautiful, which is where he made his way into the soap genre. He played the character of John Forrester, who was the brother of Eric. John Forrester was first referenced in 1994, when his daughter, Jessica, who was played by Maitland Ward had gone to stay with Stephanie.
Stephanie was played by Susan Flannery; during that time, John’s marriage had been on the rocks. However, he did not make an appearance for the first time until 2014. He would go on to win a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Special Guest Performer in a Drama Series in 2015.

B&B Spoilers – Tribute From Daytime Stars
Fred had lost his wife, Mary Lovell, who had passed away last July. They had been married since 1968, and they would go on to have a daughter named Hope, and he also has a grandson. The cast of Bold and the Beautiful reached out to issue a statement about Fred’s death which read, “The cast, staff, and crew of The Bold and the Beautiful mourn the passing of our friend and colleague, @Fred_Willard. An amazing comedian & actor, he was also a gracious & kind man. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. #FredWillard #BoldandBeautiful @Bandb_CBS.”

McCook paid tribute to his on-screen brother by saying, “Fred Willard was a brother to Eric Forrester on B&B. I should have been so blessed. RIP.” Eric Martsolf who plays Brady on Days of our Lives paid tribute by saying, “RIP Fred. This man brought so much laughter into my life, and will always be my favorite Dog Show judge
