Hallmark Tyler Hynes Drops By WCTH Set, Shocking Erin Krakow

Hallmark Channel When Calls The Heart spoilers and updates reveal Tyler Hynes made an unexpected appearance on the set of Erin Krakow’s popular Hallmark series, When Calls the Heart! And that wasn’t his only surprise.

Erin And Tyler Co-Starred In Movie Projects

The duo is well-known for their roles in the 2021 film ‘It Was Always You’ and are scheduled to come together again for another Hallmark production, ‘Christmas Above the Clouds’, later this year.

According to PEOPLE magazine, Hynes, 39, kicked off his Thursday, Aug. 14, by giving his Groomsman co-star BJ Britt a surprise visit on the set of his forthcoming Hallmark Christmas movie. A few hours afterward, he made his way to the When Calls the Heart set .

There he surprised his co-star from Christmas Above the Clouds and It Was Always You while she was busy filming for season 13. Hynes shared several photos on his Instagram account.

Hynes Also Shared Some Edited Movie Footage

In a behind-the-scenes update shared on Instagram on Wednesday, August 20, Hynes is seen sporting a vintage racing jacket, Adidas track pants, a baseball cap, and aviator sunglasses while posing with Krakow.

The 40-year-old actress is dressed in a sage green and white floral dress, complemented by tan and white kitten heels. In the following slide, Hynes posted edited video clips — some captured by PEOPLE — showing him as he walks onto the set.

A Hallmark staff member, aware of Hynes’s presence, can be heard exclaiming, “Look who’s in Hope Valley,” referencing the location of the fictional Pioneer-era series. “There’s a new sheriff in town!” Hynes declares, grinning and waving at the camera.

Krakow Was Shocked To See Him Walk In

Krakow was taken aback when she approached the entrance of the town library set, where she and her co-stars Kevin McGarry and Jaeda Lily Miller were relaxing between scenes.

Her mouth dropped open — and she started laughing as they took a few pictures together. “This is amazing,” Hynes remarked, admiring Krakow’s period costume and spinning her around on the porch set.

“I feel a bit starstruck. I’m looking at the renowned When Calls the Heart-we’re in the 1800s.” “This feels off,” Krakow joked as she stepped away from their dance, which Hynes had set to the melody of Johnny Cash’s 2002 hit “The Man Comes Around” in his post.

Erin And Tyler Are Glad To Work Together Again

Krakow portrays schoolteacher Elizabeth Thatcher in the long-running Hallmark series. The show, which takes place in the early 20th century, follows Elizabeth as she relocates from the city to a small town to teach.

It delves into the challenges of life in Hope Valley, along with themes of friendship, romance, and various life lessons.

Krakow and Hynes notably appeared together in the successful 2021 romantic comedy, It Was Always You.

After playing Lizzy and David in the film, both Krakow and Hynes expressed their desire to collaborate again. “I would be very, very happy for us to have a sequel to It Was Always You,” Krakow shared with PEOPLE last year.

Erin Continued Talking About Working With Tyler

“If not a sequel, just another chance for Tyler and I to work together on something. He’s a fantastic guy and a joy to collaborate with, and I believe people really appreciated that chemistry-so let’s make it happen again.

Fans will soon get a special treat as the two actors come together for their first project in four years with Hallmark.

In July, PEOPLE confirmed exclusively that they will star together in Christmas Above the Clouds. It is described by the network as “a comedic, modern-day reimagining of A Christmas Carol.”

The official synopsis states: “When a workaholic CEO (Krakow) attempts to avoid Christmas by flying to Australia, she’s in for an unexpected journey. Confronted by her past, present, and future, she must face the decisions that brought her success but left her alone.

With the assistance of three quirky spirits and an unexpected reunion with her ex (Hynes), she may rediscover the magic of Christmas — and the love she believed was gone.”

Both actors expressed their enthusiasm for their onscreen reunion in an interview with PEOPLE when the news was announced. “To quote the famous poet Peaches & Herb… ‘Reunited and it feels so good,'” Hynes remarked.

“Christmas Above the CLOUD NINE is collaborating with Tyler once more!” Krakow mentioned. “Since our 2021 Hallmark film It Was Always You, we have been moved and amazed by our fans’ heartfelt requests for a reunion project. On August 7, Krakow posted a sneak peek of the filming on Instagram, saying: “Great to see you on screen again @tyler_hynes! #ChristmasAboveTheClouds ADR. “ Christmas Above the Clouds will debut later this year on Hallmark Channel as part of the 16th Annual Countdown to Christmas and will be available for streaming the next day on Hallmark+.
