Karen Huger from Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Potomac ended up in prison after a DUI incident, and she’s just been released. Needless to say, many Bravo fans seem upset about it, claiming she’ll reoffend as she never served her full sentence. Read on for more details.

Released After Six Months 

After being convicted of a DUI and associated offenses from a single-vehicle accident in March 2024, Karen Huger was sentenced to two years in prison on February 26, 2025. One year was suspended.

However, her release hit the headlines after authorities let her leave the Montgomery County Detention Center in Maryland on Tuesday, September 2.

Notably, it’s not a rumor, as the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation confirmed it. When @allaboutthetea shared the news on Instagram, the admin noted, “RHOP fans are HEATED, saying she hasn’t learned a thing and fear she’ll get behind the wheel drunk again — possibly with deadly consequences.”

They asked their followers, “Do you think the Grand Dame deserves a second chance or are the ladies right to worry?”

Although she won’t appear in the upcoming season, which premieres on October 5, 2025, the speculation about her return in future seasons seems to be right on the nail. In fact, if Bravo filmed footage of her prison release, it’s probably a given that fans will see her on their screens again.
