Martin Grey Met With Lulu Spencer And Enlisted Her Help

Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) met Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) at the Port Charles Grill. With a forced smile, he whispered that they needed to act like a normal family gathering, but he was actually about to give her a story that could boost her journalism career.

When he said he had to stay anonymous due to attorney/client privilege, Lulu told him that no media outlet would publish such a significant story without naming him. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

She stood up to leave, but Martin stopped her by saying it was about ‘Congressman Cutthroat.’ After sitting back down, Lulu was not impressed when Martin talked about Drew’s interactions with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Tracy regarding Measure C, but she perked up when he mentioned corruption.

Martin Continued To Spill His Sordid Tea

She was shocked to learn Drew had misused his influence to target Stella Henry (Vernée Watson) as revenge against Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), but was disappointed when Martin couldn’t provide any proof.

He urged her to find evidence as soon as she began investigating, and pleaded with her to take down Drew and Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) to protect Stella.

Lulu cautioned that even if she revealed Drew’s wrongdoing, it wouldn’t save Stella from the crimes she had actually committed.

Martin merely hoped that showing Drew was responsible for Stella’s arrest would create enough doubt to halt the investigation, and she agreed to investigate.

At that moment, Martin’s phone rang; he was still listed as one of Drew’s emergency contacts and even more astonished to find out that the congressman had been shot!

Last Minute Alibis

Ava Jerome (Maura West) showed up at Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place and handed Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) the pills she received from Lucas.

These will be used  to keep Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) calm during his time in Alexis’ basement. They both startled at a knock on the door, and Ava quickly hid while Kristina let Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) inside, but she came out when the detective mentioned a murder attempt.

When he asked what Ava was doing there, she and Kristina diverted his attention by asking for more information about the crime Dante wanted to talk to Alexis, who entered just then. When she questioned why he needed her to explain her earlier whereabouts, he disclosed that Drew had been shot.

Alexis Sent Dante On His Way

Alexis calmly told Dante that she wouldn’t answer any questions without her lawyer there, and he finally agreed, mentioning that someone would call to set up an interview.

Once he was gone, Ava excitedly wanted to celebrate Alexis giving Drew what he truly deserved, but Alexis maintained that she had been downstairs with their “houseguest” all night.

Ava, skeptical, reminded her that she couldn’t use Ric as her excuse, considering the circumstances. “Oh, he’s not my excuse,” Alexis stated. “You two are.”

Ava didn’t understand how that would work, but Alexis insisted that Dante would never believe either of them would lie for her.

Curtis And Jordan Met At The Brown Dog Bar

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) met Curtis at the Brown Dog, where he expressed his gratitude for her constant support. She thought he was referring to Stella, but he revealed that his marriage to Portia had ended. He shared that they had finally been completely honest with each other, and it became evident that they could not move forward.

“The bottom line is, I don’t trust Portia anymore,” he said with sadness; “And life is too short to be with someone you can’t trust.” Curtis also mentioned that he realized he and Portia didn’t share as much in common as he did with Jordan.

Curtis Continued Pouring Out His Heart To Jordan, When She Gets A Call About Drew

She proposed that taking some time apart might help them remember the good moments. But Curtis explained that Portia never believed their marriage had a chance because they had only gotten together when he was on the rebound.

Jordan inquired if he thought that was true, and Curtis was uncertain. At that moment, she received a text and shared the alarming news that someone had attempted to murder Drew. Curtis was just as shocked when Jordan told him the news about his former best buddy.

Trina And Kai Destroyed Evidence

Still grappling with the revelation that her mother would manipulate someone’s blood test for her sake, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) questioned whether Portia had taken even more drastic measures that night.

Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) encouraged her to avoid such thoughts, reminding her of the numerous other adversaries Drew had. He then mentioned the evidence of Portia’s wrongdoing that they had found in Drew’s safe.

Trina realized that since it could ruin her mother’s career, provide a motive for shooting Drew, and link them to the crime scene, it needed to be eliminated. They then proceeded to set it on fire with a lighter and let it burn in the kitchen sink.

Stella Pays A Visit

As they burned the papers in the kitchen, someone knocked on her door; Kai quickly hid the smoke and ashes while Trina opened the door for Stella.

Stella apologized for the interruption and expressed her concern for Curtis, saying she couldn’t reach him. Trina replied that she hadn’t heard from him either, and when Stella detected the smoke, Trina fabricated a story about accidentally igniting a magazine.

At that moment, Kai received a call from Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and informed her that Drew had been shot, and the commissioner wanted to speak with him. As he left, she noticed her great aunt looked troubled; trembling, Stella shared her fear that Curtis might be the one who shot Drew.

Michael And Brook Lynn Find Out Tracy Found Drew Shot

At the Quartermaine mansion, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) were taken aback when Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) walked into the kitchen wearing sweats.

She explained that the police had taken her clothes after she discovered Drew had been shot, and that doctors were working to save his life.

As they processed this information, they questioned why Tracy had been at Drew’s house-she revealed that she intended to discuss Stella and Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) with him, but instead found him lying on the floor, shot in the back.

Distressed, she stated that regardless of the situation, Drew is still her brother’s son. Then she said  considering how upset Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) was when Michael was hurt, she didn’t want her to learn about Drew’s condition.

Brook Lynn Promised To Work With Yuri To Keep Monica In The Dark, Tracy Saw Michael Near The Scene

Brook Lynn agreed to collaborate with Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi) to keep Monica away from her devices and unaware of the situation.

After she left, Michael expressed to Tracy how regretful he felt that she had to discover Drew in that condition. “Don’t feel sorry,” she responded; “Be thankful-because I won’t disclose that you were there, too.”

Tracy mentioned that she had seen his car drive away from up the street, and then she entered Drew’s house to find him bleeding. He began to explain, but she quickly cut him off, not wanting to hear anything she might have to repeat in court.

Tracy Wisely Warned Michael To Get An Alibi

Tracy cautioned that others might have witnessed him at the scene, so he should secure an alibi for his own sake, for his children, and for Monica.

Michael expressed his gratitude to Tracy for her discretion as he made a quick exit. Michael headed to the Port Charles Grille to inquire with the bartender if he recalled seeing him conversing with a blonde woman earlier at the bar.

The bartender did remember, but was unable to identify or find her. Meanwhile, Lulu, who was there with Martin, watched Michael from across the room.

Anna And Chase Ask Questions At The Hospital

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) arrived at the hospital and hurried over to a distressed Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) to inquire if there was any update on Drew.

Willow said he was still in surgery and questioned how Nina found out about the shooting since it wasn’t reported in the news yet. Nina explained that she overheard some nurses discussing it and wanted to check on her.

However, despite seeing her daughter so upset, Nina seemed reluctant to comfort her, fearing it might worsen the situation.

Meanwhile, down the hall, Anna spoke with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) about creating a list of suspects, starting with Alexis, and then including Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Michael.

Anna And Chase Discuss The Persons Of Interest List While Nina Covers For Willow

Anna looked over and saw Nina chatting with Willow; she wanted to include them too, after Chase suggested Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Curtis.

The commissioner asked if she could trust Chase since Willow was a suspect, and he assured her he could be impartial. When he noted that the couple had just gotten back together, Anna questioned if he was suggesting that Willow was innocent.

After finding out that the reunion was very recent, Anna wondered if Drew had already messed it up-when they went to question Willow, Nina insisted on staying by her side. When asked about her activities earlier that evening, Willow stated that she had taken a walk after hearing the distressing news about Judge Eva Heran’s (Tessa Auberjonois) passing.

Anna And Chase Continue Questioning Nina And Willow

Anna wondered if she had been by herself, but Nina quickly stated that she had accompanied her daughter. The commissioner doubted that they had taken a walk together due to their distance, but Nina maintained that she had noticed her daughter suffering and had come forward for her.

Chase questioned why Nina hadn’t gone back to the hospital with Willow, and she falsely claimed that she had left her there.

That was before heading home to change since they had gotten soaked in the rain. It was upon her return that Willow informed her about what had happened to Drew.

Willow Blasts Nina For Lying

Once the police had departed, Willow confronted Nina harshly for deceiving the authorities, to which Nina defended herself by saying she was merely trying to create an alibi for her. “That’s not true at all,” Willow retorted; “You were simply covering your own tracks.”

Nina claimed that Willow was the main suspect in the matter, to which Willow responded fiercely, asserting that if anyone was intent on harming Drew, it was Nina.

In the meantime, Anna informed Chase that even though it was obvious both Willow and Nina were lying, she preferred to focus their efforts on Michael. The list of persons of interest continues to become larger.

Chase Arrives Home With News For Tracy And Brook Lynn-Lulu Questions Michael

Brook Lynn informed Tracy that Monica had not received any updates regarding Drew, and Tracy expressed her hope for more positive news soon.

She then shared her feelings about the terrible experience of finding Drew in such a state, despite her anger at him for pushing someone to the brink of wanting him dead.

Chase arrived and mentioned that Drew was still undergoing surgery when he departed from the hospital, and he needed their assistance to uncover what had transpired.

Meanwhile, at the Port Charles Grille, noticing his stress, Lulu left her table with Martin to inquire about Drew’s shooting. However, when she asked if he had been with Tracy all night, Michael responded sharply with a brief “no comment.”

Lucas And Portia Race To Save Drew’s Life

Lucas expressed his gratitude to Portia for stepping in to help with Drew’s surgery and took charge in the operating room.

The first bullet was extracted without difficulty, while Portia handled closing the incision as Lucas focused on the second bullet, which was perilously close to the spine.

Observing some bleeding, Lucas instructed Portia to manage it immediately after he extracted the bullet; “If we don’t execute this perfectly,” he cautioned, “we could endanger his life.”

She recalled one of the many times Drew had threatened her, then sprang into action as Lucas pulled out the bullet and Drew started to hemorrhage. Although she found herself drifting off in thought  again as Lucas desperately worked to control the bleeding, she dove back in.

Anna Questions Kai, Lucas And Portia Emerge From The Operating Theatre

Kai reached the hospital, where Anna inquired about Drew’s timetable before disclosing that they believed the person who shot Drew had access to his house.

Kai confessed that he had a key, along with Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante), the nanny, the housekeeper, Willow, and possibly Alexis Davis.

Finally, Lucas and Portia came out of surgery and informed Anna, Kai, Willow, and Nina that although it was a close call, they had managed to save Drew. They added he should be stable shortly. Willow promptly conveyed her overly enthusiastic thanks to a cautious Portia.

Anna Updates Chase On Drew’s Condition

Later, Anna reached out to Chase with an update, and as she spoke, we caught glimpses of all the suspects as she recorded her thoughts.  “With the congressman misusing his political influence and his scandalous personal affairs, there are numerous suspects with strong motives; he has wronged many individuals. We’re uncertain if the crime stemmed from revenge or a sense of righteous anger-was it someone compelled to protect… or someone fueled by passion?

What we do know is that these suspects are deeply rooted in Port Charles; they are well-connected and, perhaps most crucially, dangerously close to the victim. This means we must stay alert-because whoever committed this act… is among us,  and we cannot rest until we uncover who fired the shot.”
