‘General Hospital’ Recap September 9: Drew’s Plot, Jason’s Heroic Rescue, Britt’s Confession

'General Hospital' Recap September 9: Drew's Plot, Jason's Heroic Rescue, Britt's ConfessionGeneral Hospital recaps for Tuesday, September 9 reveal Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) woke up and accused Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) of shooting him.

In the meantime, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) completed a heroic rescue, and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had tough questions for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), plus more!

Drew Wakes Up

Drew regained consciousness, and his first thought was about Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), asking Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) if she was present. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

The nurse told him that Willow was with Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) and asked if he remembered what had happened to him.

Drew insisted he needed to see Willow, but then Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) came in with an update on the patient’s condition.

Drew quickly requested another doctor. Portia kindly told him she could start that process, but grimly added that until someone was assigned, he was under her care.

A Surprise In Portia’s Office

When Portia got back to her office, she was surprised to see Jacinda (Paige Herschell) sitting at her desk.

When Portia told the escort to leave town, Jacinda said that Drew had given her $100,000 to stay away, but she added that she wasn’t great with money and needed more.

She had hoped to get it from Drew, but since he had been shot, she was now asking Portia and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for help.

Portia refused and reminded her that if she mentioned them hiring her to drug the congressman, she would also get into trouble.

“So much for women helping women,” Jacinda complained-Portia suggested that if anyone inquired, she could stay out of trouble by saying the drugs belonged to Drew.

Dante Goes To GH While Anna And Chase Question Alexis

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) sent Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to the hospital to talk to Drew, while she and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) stayed to discuss matters with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

When Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) arrived to represent Alexis, Anna started recording and asked Alexis to explain what she did the night Drew was shot. Alexis began by recounting her day in court for Stella Henry’s (Vernee Watson) arraignment.

When Anna commented on that investigation, Alexis expressed her frustration about Drew seeking revenge on people by attacking their loved ones. Anna redirected the discussion to when she received the restraining order.

Diane Attempted To Object, Citing Relevance

Diane attempted to object, questioning its relevance to Alexis’s actions, but Anna insisted it related to her connection with the victim.

Diane complained that they were there to make a statement, yet it felt more like a cross-examination. Alexis acknowledged that she was upset about the restraining order but maintained that she had only sought legal action.

She then went back to discussing her activities, mentioning that she arrived home around 9 p.m. Chase probed her for more details, but Alexis explained that she had just completed a call and provided her phone records.

He asked if anyone was home to confirm this, and Alexis replied that there wasn’t, but Curtis had come by shortly after to inquire about Stella’s case.

Anna And Chase Continued Their Questioning

After he left, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) visited with Ava Jerome (Maura West). Noticing Chase’s suspicious response, Alexis said she had been trying to mediate a peace agreement between the two women, and they spent hours together.

She told Anna that she could ask Dante about it because when she returned from taking out the trash, he was there questioning Kristina and Ava.

Diane finally stated that her client had been very cooperative and turned off Anna’s recorder, ending the interview. Anna expressed her gratitude, but as they exited her office, she cautioned that she might have more questions later.

Anna Placed Curtis On The Top Of The Suspect List, Removing Alexis, Dante At GH

Once they were alone again, Chase acknowledged that Alexis had a solid alibi, and Anna concurred that the entire Kristina/Ava situation was so unlikely it could actually be true.

She removed Alexis’s photo from the top of the suspect list and substituted it with a picture of Curtis. In the meantime,  Dante reached the hospital to interrogate Drew, and Portia urged him to be quick since the patient was still healing.

Dante went in to ask the congressman what he recalled from the previous night;  “Getting shot in the back is something you can’t easily forget,” Drew replied with a growl. When pressed for more information, Drew recounted coming home in the rain, having a drink, and retrieving Willow’s engagement ring from the safe before being shot in the back.

Dante Requests Access To Drew’s Safe

The last thing he remembered was falling forward-Dante questioned if he had seen anyone outside the house, to which Drew replied that he had not.

When Dante inquired whether he had locked the safe, Drew became anxious that someone might have taken Willow’s ring. Dante reassured him that it was still there but questioned if anything else had been stolen from the safe, requesting access to check.

Remembering the documents he had used to blackmail Portia, Drew curtly told the detective that there were confidential papers inside, and the PCPD did not have his consent to search his safe.

When the congressman abruptly ended the conversation by saying he was tired, Drew posed one final question: Who did he believe had a reason to hurt him-Drew angrily accused Michael.

Michael Met With Curtis, Asking For Help To Find Jacinda

At the Port Charles Grill, Michael confessed to Curtis that he was aware he was at the top of the suspect list. Curtis encouraged him to secure an alibi, and Michael replied that he indeed had one but needed Curtis’s assistance to locate her.

Upon seeing a picture of the woman in question, Curtis informed him of Jacinda’s name and the modeling agency she was associated with. He said it  turned out to be a front for an escort service. After receiving a call from Portia stating that Drew had regained consciousness, Curtis hurried off, leaving Michael to look for the agency on his phone.

Curtis Visits Drew

After leaving Drew’s hospital room, Dante told Liz he wanted to assign an officer to keep an eye on the congressman. When Curtis arrived, Dante inquired if he had seen Michael and directed him towards the Grill.

Once the detective was gone, Curtis asked Liz if Drew was allowed to have visitors and was given the go-ahead, so he decided to drop by.

Drew shot a glare at his latest visitor, who casually commented that he had heard someone shot him. “I have every reason to believe it was you,” Drew spat; “But don’t worry — I’m blaming Michael.”

Jacinda Meets Up With Michael

Offscreen, Michael called the agency, faking interest in hiring Jacinda for the evening. After informing the agency that she was willing to accept the job — along with any additional opportunities they could offer — Jacinda made her way to the Grill, where she spotted Michael.

They exchanged introductions, and once she acknowledged hearing about Congressman Cain’s shooting, he mentioned that he might require her to serve as his alibi for that particular night.

He likely would have paid for her to be his alibi, she smiled when she heard his name. But before they had a chance to firm up any arrangements, at that moment, Dante showed up, keen to interrogate Michael.

Lulu Sets Charlotte’s Punishment For Breaking Scout Out Of Camp

Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) took Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) to Bobbie’s for a drink before her punishment commenced.

She decided that the teen would handle all responsibilities at Outback before adding more chores, such as yard work and composing a letter of apology to the camp director.

Charlotte believed Lulu was being overly strict, but her mother reminded her of the incident when she placed a snake in Ava’s purse, stating it set a dangerous precedent.

When Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) showed up, Lulu instructed her daughter to give the dog a bath. As Charlotte left, she confronted Brennan, asserting: “Everyone claims you’re the hero and my dad’s the villain- I don’t believe it; not for a second.”

Brennan Wants Lulu And Charlotte’s Help To Get Intel From Valentin Cassadine

As Jack sat down, Lulu expressed her regret for her daughter’s outburst. He shared that he needed her assistance because he wanted Charlotte to have a supervised visit with Valentin in Steinmauer, but Lulu firmly stated that it would never happen.

He assured her that they would be completely safe, but she refused to allow him to involve her daughter in his schemes; he stepped away briefly to take a call. Lulu caught part of the conversation and asked him who was ‘in the clear,’ but he reminded her that it was confidential.

When Brennan mentioned that Charlotte could be of interest to certain individuals, Lulu became concerned about her daughter’s safety.

Brennan Continues To Try And Get Lulu To Cooperate

He assured her that he would keep her safe, but he wanted Lulu to realize that Charlotte’s life is very different from Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr). Outside, Charlotte was sitting with Rocco and Outback, expressing her frustration about Jack putting her father in prison.

When Rocco mentioned that Valentin’s crimes might be a factor, she replied that unlike his dad’s work with the WSB, it was difficult to distinguish the good guys from the bad.

Charlotte also confessed that she struggled to connect with other kids because her life had been so unique. Although she didn’t want to be on the run, there were aspects of her old life she missed, such as having more freedom… and her dad.

'General Hospital' Recap September 9: Drew's Plot, Jason's Heroic Rescue, Britt's Confession

Britt Was Running Out Of Time

In Croatia, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) pleaded with Pascal (Marc Forget) not to abandon her, insisting she was the only one who grasped the research they were doing.

Pascal replied that many others could handle the work, and with fewer complications. She sobbed, admitting she had gone against “his” wishes, but she couldn’t believe he would actually have her killed.

Then she stopped, horrified at the realization that Pascal might do just that, and accused him of acting independently. Unfazed, Pascal walked away from Britt, who anxiously glanced at the ankle monitor on her leg that was set to explode.

'General Hospital' Recap September 9: Drew's Plot, Jason's Heroic Rescue, Britt's Confession

Jason Was Busy With Josslyn And Vaughn

Meanwhile, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) knocked out the thug who was choking Jason, and Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) inquired about how many obstacles were in their way to safety.

Jason confessed he was unsure since he had snuck in, but cautioned that escaping wouldn’t be simple. He gave Josslyn a glance and mentioned they had much to discuss later, then left to return for Britt. Vaughn and Joss decided that if one of them fell during their escape, the other would continue on.

Jason’s Heroic Rescue

Jason discovered Britt attempting to remove her ankle monitor, and she informed him that she had 21 minutes before it would explode.

Despite her warning not to endanger himself for her sake, Jason began working on the bomb, declaring that they were in this together, no matter the outcome.

He successfully detached the device, and a grateful Britt joined him as they escaped the lab, only to encounter Pascal and two henchmen in the hallway.

A gunshot echoed, and one of the thugs fell, shot from behind by Vaughn. Jason took down the other attacker, but Pascal vanished amid the confusion.

Britt’s Confession

There was no time to dwell on that, as the facility was about to explode; the four of them ran for their lives away from the explosion!

Outside, everyone ducked for cover as the blast destroyed the building, and when the smoke cleared, everyone appeared unharmed.

Josslyn and Vaughn were okay in one location not far from Jason, who was shielding Britt with his body. Britt shared a meaningful glance with Jason and mentioned she had something to say, finally quipping, “I really don’t like your tattoos.”
