General Hospital spoilers indicate that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) will pass away sometime soon as the actress that played her for over 45 years passed away back in January.
GH has yet to address Monica’s demise, but it appears that it is coming very soon. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is currently recovering from being shot at GH, and is still as conniving as ever.
It is entirely possible that Drew will make a play to hit the Quartermaines where it hurts when Monica finally passes away, and he won’t hesitate to try to take anything that he felt was rightfully his, including the Quartermaine mansion, owned by Monica.
“It’s Monica’s House, Alan Gave It To Her”
General Hospital fans know that classic line said by several different characters, but notably Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). Monica has owned the Quartermaine house for decades, and her husband, Alan Quartermaine (the late Stuart Damon) gave it to her.
Monica will have to bequeath the house to someone in the family, and likely candidates include her son, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), or grandson, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
She could also leave it to both of them, but Monica may want to leave it to a lady in the family, and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCierco) could inherit the home, and take on the role of upkeeping the house.
Tracy would not be pleased by this at all. However, Drew would feel that he has a claim on the house, and try to challenge Monica’s will.
Drew Cain Makes Plans For The Quartermaine Mansion
Drew could use his influence to try to get his hands on the mansion after Monica’s passing. He could claim that the land that the Quartermaine house is built also out of their property line, and may force them to vacate the property as it would need to be demolished.
Tracy and the family wouldn’t stand for this. He would tell them that the Port Charles Land Trust has agreed that the Quartermaine mansion has been standing on land that they own for decades, and that it needs to be bulldozed immediately.
However, it is really just an underhanded way for Drew to get his hands on the mansion, as the house is temporary owned by the Port Charles Land Trust, and then he plans to buy it from them.
Drew Cain Obtains The Quartermaine Mansion
Drew buys the Quartermaine mansion from the Port Charles Land Trust, and tells Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), Olivia, Tracy, Jason, and other inhabitants of the house that the house has been saved.
They all sigh relief, but he stuns them when he informs them that he is now the sole owner of the estate, and that they still need to pack their things and get out.
He is moving in, and he plans to raise Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko) with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) there. The entire family, especially Michael, would be incensed with Drew, and vow to destroy him at all costs.

An interesting theory, however it goes contrary to his plot to get them all, especially Scout and Willow, as far from anyone who can counter his own influence over them. He refuses to see that his manipulative behavior has already turned them or is turning them against him.
Drew will be unalived before that happens
Nothing surprises me about the way the writers and Valentini continue to let Drew continue to run the show and make it all about him.
I am just disgusted with the way the Executive powers and writers are disappointing the fans.
We were all hopping drew would be killed off, tired of drew drew drew
AMEN my friends.
I wouldn’t doubt Drew would try something to get possession of the mansion, but surely Monica knows the situation and would have taken care of whatever problems there may have been. Surely writers won’t continue to allow Drew to win the self made battle he enters in to.
