General Hospital Spoilers tease the weekly preview for GH shows Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) ordering Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) to get as close as she can to her cousin, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).
Jack sees Joss’ family ties as the easiest way to get dirt on Lucas’ boyfriend, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo), who just happens to be Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) son.
If Jack is going to figure out how Sidwell is tied to Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) — and how he might be involved in Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) coming back from the grave — then he’ll need an insider’s perspective.
Who better than the only family member Sidwell has hanging around? Still, as Joss creeps closer to Lucas and Marco, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is sure to have her sights on her baby girl and piece together why she has taken a sudden interest in her uncle’s life.
How can Carly possibly keep her daughter safe while watching Joss get her WSB talons into her brother?
Family First
Carly has always been devoutly loyal to the people that she loves, in particular, her family. She isn’t interested in exploring a relationship with Jack anymore, but she knows she can’t set off any alarm bells for him or he’ll know she’s onto him and may retaliate using Joss as leverage.
The fans are divided over this perspective, with some thinking Carly is practically worried over nothing and that despite Jack’s lies, he wouldn’t harm a hair on Joss’ head. However, others don’t trust Jack one bit and understand why Carly is playing this long game.
So how is she going to feel when she realizes Joss’ new assignment includes using her uncle — Carly’s brother — and potentially destroying his relationship with Marco in the process?
Carly Could Be of Two Minds
While Carly might be focused on trying to get her daughter out of the WSB and away from Jack, she may also start to recognize that her daughter is an adult now who can make her own choices.
Watching her target her mark — even if it is Lucas — and succeed at her job could be a prized moment for Carly.
She may not understand right away that Joss’ sudden interest in getting closer to Lucas is wrapped up in her work, but it probably won’t take long. Furthermore, Carly has never been keen on Lucas dating Sidwell’s son.
She just doesn’t trust him, and doesn’t want those kinds of enemies near her brother. Moreover, she and Lucas have already gone toe-to-toe over Marco and nearly lost their relationship because of it.
Mother Knows Best
Seeing Joss insert herself into the middle might be a sticking point for Carly, or she could embrace it in hopes her WSB agent daughter unearths enough dirt on Marco to convince Lucas to leave him behind.
Still, we can expect she’s going to be pretty unnerved knowing what her daughter’s assignment is. Fearful that Joss is in danger in this line of work, Carly should be most cautious about potentially letting it slip to anyone that Joss isn’t just a student at PCU who serves BLT’s at Bobbie’s after school.
If she shared the truth with Lucas, he could end up being the squeaky will that jeopardizes Joss’ safety and outs her secret agent status around town.
Could that still nerve to get her yanked from the organization? A mom can hope, right? Keep checking back with us every day for more GH news and spoilers.
