General Hospital Alum Kelly Monaco At Dancing With The Stars 20th Anniversary ShowGeneral Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest it’s been about a year since Sam McCall passed away in Port Charles. With that said, Kelly Monaco continues to write her next chapter and was spotted at the Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) 20th Anniversary special, which aired on Tuesday, November 11. More on this, below.

Kelly Monaco’s DWTS History

As General Hospital fans may recall, Monaco was DWTS’s Season 1 winner back in 2005 when the reality TV show first aired. She also participated in Season 15.

The 20th Anniversary special brought back many past stars from the show, including original host Tom Bergeron, who left in 2019. In addition, the original six “dancing pros”, Alec Mazo, Ashly DelGrosso, Charlotte Jørgensen, Edyta Sliwinska, Jonathan Roberts, and Louis van Amstel also graced the dance floor.

There was also an emotional tribute to long-time judge Len Goodman, as well as other celebrity dancers who had passed away.

With that said, there were many past DWTS contestants sprinkled in the audience, and one of them was Kelly Monaco.

Monaco Spotted In The Audience

Lisa, @LSA8M, a user on the social media platform X, posted some videos and photos of Monaco at the 20th Anniversary DWTS show from Tuesday night.

Monaco was sitting next to fellow DWTS alum and fellow DWTS winner from 2008 (Season 6), Olympic Skater, Kristi Yamaguchi.

It’s been a year since Monaco shockingly departed from the ABC soap, and many GH viewers were both stunned and horrified by the move, as Sam McCall had been such an integral part of storylines for over two decades.

The actress had also been nominated twice for a Daytime Emmy during her tenure in the land of soaps. The announcement about Sam McCall’s exit was made in September last year, and by the time Halloween rolled around, the character met her demise thanks to an injection of digitalis at the hands of villain, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

      I’m a 75yr old who has watched 3 ABC soaps over the years (many) and WAS OVER THE MOON to spot Kelley in the DWS audience (reason I watched it). She with Steve then Billie were my favorites.
