The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Summer’s Genoa City Holiday Plans Confirmed

The Young and the Restless note that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has been gone from Genoa City since May of this year, and the little town just doesn’t feel the same without her.

With that said, the CBS soap hasn’t slowed down in the least when mentioning her name, so should fans ever expect a return? A recent episode sheds some light on whether Summer could be making a surprise return during the holiday season.

Summer Newman’s Holiday Plans

During the Y&R November 13 episode, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) was caught with his mom, Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford), at Crimson Lights. They talked about a plethora of topics, including Summer’s holiday plans.

It turns out that Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant), Daniel’s daughter, will be spending Christmas in Italy with her Aunt Summer. This likely means that fans shouldn’t expect Summer to return any time before Christmas. Or was this a swerve?

Summer’s Explosive Christmas Return

Then again, could the show be foreshadowing a shocking return from Summer? Things like this can be talked about to help set up a “shocking” plot twist. What if something happens to Lucy while in Italy?

Will Daniel have to head out of town to retrieve his daughter, or could Summer come back to her hometown, with her niece in tow, in light of the emergency (whether that be medical or otherwise)?

The show has played up Summer’s exit and stay in Italy, mentioning multiple times that she’s not returned to GC because she couldn’t stand seeing the “love of her life,” Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).

Summer also apparently has a boyfriend, but that hasn’t been talked about more recently, so she may not still be with him.

With that said, Kyle and Claire’s relationship has been decimated, thanks to Kyle’s lies and control, plus Claire’s need to live the single-pringle life.

Will Summer really stay away from the little town and her son, Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), during the most wonderful time of the year? Only time will tell!
